You are probably right about that.

I've already said that I don't think Sinister Six is going to happen but I'll acknowledge that I was wrong when I see set pictures. I was wrong about Deadpool not happening.

Spider-Man and Deadpool have very different, unique situations. Deadpool falls under the X-Men umbrella, so Fox is able to hold onto his film rights even without making any Deadpool movies or ever using his character in an X-Men film. Fox could have let another 10 years go by without ever mentioning the status of the Deadpool movie and that would be that.

Sony has Spider-Man, and they NEED to give him movies no more than 5 years apart or else they risk losing the film rights completely. So if they wanted to "keep quiet" about Sinister Six or TASM3 until 2019, I guess they could just release it then (but there would be no logic in that).

i have the feeling that Sony is already doing their re-reboot and they are just waiting to announce it... Idk the last time a spider-man movie has been in production limbo was SM4

I wouldn't even be mad if they rebooted on their own. They know now what works and doesn't work. We might get a great Spider-Man once again, Sony's done it before, they certainly can do it again. They just need to stop competing with this "Universe Building" that the MCU/DCU are doing. If they focus on just Spider-Man like they did with SM and SM2, they'll succeed.

I hope so, but sony won't stop with the universe building i mean, right now that and the merchandide produces the big bucks and if they have none of those they'll just keep loosing money, on the other hand spider-man is still big enough to make big money on his own sadly he is making less and they can't have team ups with spidey only. Sinister six is boind to fail just for the reason spidey isn't in it won't make enough money to make proffit.
That's also the reason venom is not an option, first he is directly related to spider-man so, if they do venom it has to have Spider-man in it or you are loosing audience and second venom isn't that good of a villain to make a story of his own, Avi's argument fails because Venom toys sells to Disney, who knows how to market them. In the end they shot themselves in the foot with not planning.

if they re-reboot they have the chance to fix that and actually plan ahead good movies, because they have to face that they can't do universe building without many heroes people want to see heroes not villains, everyone has heroes, sony just has one and maybe some antiheroes but that won't work

You're right. The merchandising and "universe building" is making the big bucks, but for DISNEY. Sony's attempt at the universe building hasn't gotten them squat. They have so many irons in the fire right now with all their spin-off plans, it's ridiculous.

Exactly, they just can't do it because they fail to understand that the Marvel universe was planned ahead and it took time to make not in just one movie also that they can't never be as big as Avengers because they have one only heroe, yeah they have villains but that it's not going to work because people like superhero team ups not villains, Suicide squad can happen because they (DC) also has the Superheroes teaming up and the fact that joker is VERY popular, Sony has no popular villain right now, Sony needs to forget about these spinoffs and their universe because they WILL fail

TASM3 could be better then SM2 the way it's set up.

Got to deal with;

-Death of Gwen (blows any emotional stuff from other SM films out of water)
-Harry's arc, Harry vs Gobin
-Peter's transformation into hero

They've got so much there to make it into the besst spiderman movie and even best CBM ever, so a non Spidey reboot with a straight TASM3 starring andrew wouldn't even phase me

This is what I'm thinking, they could really make this film awesome. People only want to see an awesome spiderman film. I'm talking about the GA.

MCU spiderman is still good

But it's not the end of the world if it stays as long as sony is smart

They might actually learn after being exposed this badly

I want TASM3, not S6. But if S6 is amazing and a huge success then I won't complain lol.

maybe he got confused with Suicide squad...
Looking over his page, it looks like he may work at a comic shop so I doubt he got it confused. If they were looking for research and he gave them Sinister 6 instead of Suicide Squad, I'm sure they would have said something, lol. Not to mention his "I'll eat sand to be an extra."

i didn´t see his other twwets or anything, but GOD please i hope he is wrong or got confused, i´ll eat sand for Sinister six not happening...

this is way more interesting:
