I'm actually a bit disappointed that is hasn't made more domestically. It looks like it may finish somewhere around the 250-275 million mark. We all know that once the DKR comes around that every other film with be toast.

A spider just swing by me and landed on my laptop screen. Like a spider-man.

it just swung away.

Have to disagree, "A Cat in Paris" is the one to watch..!!

Nah, Madea's Witness Protection will take the cake.

Ya know, I think that Batman and Robin will make a comeback this week.

I think TAS can reach $800 million, but it will be a stretch.

The way I figure it, here are the numbers through yesterday and my best guess off-the-cuff projections at totals in parenthesis:

Domestic: $205 million ($260 million)
International: $320 million ($515 million)

I'm assuming China (which hasn't released TAS yet) will be in the range of Avengers, so $70 to $80 million.

The $775 million of my guess puts it within striking distance of $800 million. But what do i know? Nothing, just speculating. :yay:
your numbers look about right wish it would have made more domestically with that 230mill budget

Everyone who likes the movie: Go see The Amazing Spider-Man tomorrow so it can make some good money before TDKR weekend!

*hopes this broadcasts to the world*

I think it's a very healthy number (worldwide that is), and have little doubt the sequel with make much more, especially domestically.

Yeah I think if the sequel matches ASM's quality, 300 m domestic will be pretty much assured.

If on par in quality with TAS, without the stigma of reboot and retelling of same origin story as Raimi's, fans and converts from home video, and no Nolan Batman (or Avengers sequel right?) to compete with, I think $350 million domestic should be easy.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is slotted to come out on May 2nd 2014; it's closest comic book movie competitor would be Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which releases on April 4th, 2014.

Yea, not much competition afaik.

Well not much in CBM but there is Robopocalypse, shouldn't count out Spielberg. Don't see TMNT being that big the week after. RotPotA was pretty popular so its sequel could be a hit.

However, it being that far out a lot movies could be playing musical chairs by then.

Yeah I see Robolocalypse (sp?) and Ninja Turtles moving if ASM2 starts to build momentum.

Ooh, I'm excited for the sequel to Rise. Never heard of Robopocalypse.

Agreed

International: $320 million ($515 million)
I would say about 400-420M
The Bat is gonna rise tomorrow

Nope,half of that
I would say about 35M

So yeah about 700M overall, very very good I must say

uh.. TASM will still make money, even after TDKR releases..

but not so much
well he has one more week here in México:yay:
and im planning to see it again!

SM4 would have done better domestically imho. Maybe ASM2 will be smart and have carnage or ASM3 will have teh Carnage.

Spider-man can't beat Carnage. Carnage is venom on roids, HGH, and coke. Boomshacka-la-laka.
