TBH thats the main complaint about TASM from the general audience,they say it takes too long to get into Battle

It's not so bad, but I myself wouldn't watch a movie just for the action or CGI. I want a great story too, and that's why I love BB and TDK and loved TAS-M even before Lizard shows up.

Cant point out what it lacked exactly but it didnt feel like a CBM

I thought Transformers was a comic book movie? I mean, doesn't Transformers have their own comic books?

I mean, Transformers covers more mediums than just comic books in a big way though, so I dunno.

Well it is definitely better. To be the better CBM now, it had to be leaps and bounds better and not just ride alongside S-M 2 which was the previous better CBM.

I have never thought SM1 and SM2 were anything more than "OK/Good". Mostly good, but nothing more. That's not a biased opinion of mine, I simply don't like those films that much. Iron Man is a genious film. The Dark Knight and Batman Begins are obvious ones. Same goes for Avengers (a film I thought would be a plastic popcorn film). Amazing Spider-Man is my favourite so far because of the awesome emotions, acting and tone and the ability to REALLY feel for the characters.

I would also rank X-Men: First Class above Raimi's Spidey films, and I expect The Dark Knight Rises to be in the top 3 of my list.

All those films I've listed are generally considered great so I really don't see why you specifically think I'm biased.

I enjoy watching SM1 for the almost perfect origin and SM2 for the action though. It's not all hate.

Some cats were never too big on it though, that's not a bad thing. I understand retrospective bashing, that's silly. BUT if you were never big on it to begin with OR just feel it hasn't aged as well, that's to be expected. Not every great movie of the past holds up over time.

I like action but that doesnt mean I would want mindless action.The only reason I watched transformers was Megan Fox,still havent watched the latest one
Action with a good plot is my way to go,SM1 and 2 are perfect examples of what I want

And I loved TASM in the 1st hour and 15 minutes aswell,it went downhill after the Lizard showed up.
I have said this in another thread,first 75 minutes of TASM is the best first starting 75 minutes of any CB origin movie

I never liked that they used Green Goblin and killed him in that one. The suit looked pretty ridiculous on him as well. Other than that I do think it's a great origin, but I still don't think Maguire and Dunst are that good even in that one, and it feels really kiddy and corny at places. I prefer SM1 over SM2 actually.

A fun, family, Superhero flick is more humorous than the brooding Batman. Unbelievable.

Only I never cared what the hero was saying, because Tobey to me was miscast and the character of Peter Parker/Spider-Man was just terribly written.

I've never gotten the criticism of the 3rd act in BB. I found it very thrilling and enjoyed it alot. Ties to the beginning of the film in a good way.

Batman isn't about humour though. Other than JJJ, I find the humour in Raimi's films to be extremely bad. Cheesy, over the top, corny and kiddy. And I can hear Batman perfectly fine. I do think however that in TDK it gets a little too much heh. Tobey's Spidey didn't say much anyway and when he did talk, I even prefered the quiet Spidey.

Ras has got to be one of the most boring comic villians ever, I just wasn't engaged in th train fight at all. I didn't car when Gordan was driving the Batmobile, did care when Bats was fighting Ras, and didn't care if the fear gas engulfed the city. The only time when I become midly interested was when Batman said 'I wont kill you blah blah blah' which absolutely infuriated me.

TDK is the best superhero movie ever, hey, no arguement from me, but BB is long, dull, indulgent and TEDIOUS in the final act.

The camera was all over the place
The 3rd act was really poor

I still laugh a lot when I watch the movie.

I just wasn't engaged. To be honest I wasn't really engaged at the end of TDK (or rather I was engaged less) but TDK had given me so much in act 1 and act 2, act 3 gets a 'pass'. To be fair BB has a very strong act 1 and act 2 but I was so bored during the 3rd act I was knocking points off my final score left and right.

IM gets full marks for act 1 and 2 and then the weak 3rd act loses it points 9/10
IM peaks when OS steals Tony's heart.

TDK peaks when Joker breaks out of jail.

BB gets good makes for acts 1 and 2 but I was so bored in act 3 it loses lots of points 7/10

I don't need action if I'm engaged and in act 3 I was bored out of my mind which is a shame because when Bruce is learning to become Batman I was riveted.

And I'll say it's not just me because these sentiments have been expressed in some reviews of TDKR so far; Nolan's films and characters are cold and emotionless masked by technically impressive film-making, grandeur ambition and story-telling of potentially interesting and engaging characters. Just my opinion, of course.

It's a problem for sure, cold and emotionless works for Memento and Prestige (which I love) but harms BB and Inception (which I'm indifferent to). The sheer power of Joker just diverts me from the secondary characters to pay any attention to them to notice if they are cold/emotionless.
