Oh, now I sorta see.

Too bad you can only kinda see it in a still frame. :whatever:

Huh. That's interesting. It must be the lighting or camera angle or SOMETHING that is making it look so artificial. I Hope somehow, they make it more apparent that it's really digging into the cushion, because in theaters the audience won't get a chance to see it twice or freeze the screen for a moment.

Yeah, that's certainly true, but maybe I just have a better screen or something.

There's no better screen than IMAX.

Unless you count the technology that the alien overlords are using to watch us, but we don't have access to that.

You saw it on IMAX? I just mean computer screens. My laptop is fairly new.

No, no, no, hahaha. I was just saying, the scene will be seen on IMAX (the movie), so if you could see it on your laptop, it'll most likely be visible on IMAX.

Oooh, I gotcha, I follow your drift.

Won't it be in Indian or something. I'm not trying to be racist if that seems racist.

Theres no such language as Indian. Its called Hindi. Its even worse than people who dont know what mandarin and cantonese are.

And NO, most theaters in India (like 90%) show Hollywood movies in english. Why do people keep forgetting that English is a VERY common language in India (at least in the urban areas)? The British only left 65 or so years ago.

I think the "problem" is two-fold:

The contrast of the colors, the black leather and the white padding is jarring.

The way the leather splits and peels back so suddenly due to the release of tension of the leather being stretched over the seat.

Yes, it's a practical effect, but those two points seem unnatural in our heads. It's one of those weird things where it'd actually look "better" in our minds if it was cg (ie: remove the peeling of the leather to make it seem less like white strips popping into existence on the seat).

I agree. I have never seen a leather seat get scratched apart before, so what it actually looks like and what I imagine it looks like are two different things.

I'm sure this has been posted before ^^
Sorry if that's the case :)

I'm not sure if it's real or fake though..

If that's real: why aren't they using the lizard from the movie??? Yes I know it's the same design, but he looks way better in the movie than in that promo-art crap

Also: the text in the upper right corner says "new hero, new story, new love"...... then why not show Gwen and Peter instead of lizard!?

Maybe that's the big twist in the end, Peter falls in love with The Lizard!

So that's why there's the scene where Peter says he can't be with Gwen anymore!

Whoop. One week today! How the time has flown :)

I think Lizard looks great in the movie, but not so much on stills anyway.

Totally agree. Lizard looks brilliant in the movie clips, horribly lame in the artwork that's plastered over posters and merchandising.

Lol^ WTF?
He looks like he's been shot with some kind of paralyzing dart and he has no way of telling the audience.
