Hmm, okay,I'll try and play along--even though I think scoring in such a way isn't always accurate and generalises somewhat. First I'll just write a list and try to organise it from there.

Avengers
First Class
The Dark Knight
Watchmen
Thor
The Incredible Hulk
Batman Begins
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
Batman 89

Okay, I've just tried scoring, but didn't like the way it looked. When you have a list like this, it's very hard for your scores to make sense. I did it as honestly as I could, but when looked through I honestly didn't think it was an accurate representation of my tastes.

For simplicity sake, Avengers is top, followed by First Class. I like TDK, and also Burton's 89. Thor wowed me. Never liked the character but I enjoyed it. Hate Cap. Can never decided whether I prefer Spidey 1 or 2, but more often than not I'd probably go for Spidey 1 for tone, and Spidey 2 for action. Some are hard to score together because they are so different. Am I scoring for enjoyment or for understanding how well made they are? You get me? It's a very hard subject for me because my tastes are so wide, and I wouldn't really be comfortable setting these scores in stone, and putting one film above another because when my mood changes, so does my opinion.

Edit: S*** I forgot Sin City

I agree with you on the scoring thing. Mostly because I look at everything in a film, like editing and visual style, pure enjoyment, story etc etc. and score differently depending on what I'm scoring it on if that makes sense. Like Sin City is definately one of my favourite films because of the visual style and editing, same for Memento and (Finchers) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Seeing as we're going on CBM's here is my top 10 list (and if we're including Sin City, then that would fit firmly between X-M2 and BB)

The Dark Knight
Avengers
Spider-Man
Thor
X-Men 2
Batman Begins
Spider-Man 2
XM: First Class
Daredevil (DC)
Captain America

I agree on the SM1 v SM2 thing as well, I can never make up my mind but I usually go with the first as well, but I tend to have a soft spot for originals.

Edit: Also, I'm really exciting to reading your review of it hope you have a well of a time and fully enjoy it :D

With four Spider Man movies having now been made that feature Peter Parker as Spidey,
I think the odds are long we will ever see Miles Morales on screen.

Nobody wants to see Miles Morales as Spider-Man on the big screen.

Nobody wants to see Miles Morales as Spider-Man on the big screen.

I would but depending on who they cast him with...

It has to be a really good actor to attact viewers because the GA won't be use to him and they would be put off because it's not peter..
but I would be all the way supportive with Miles...
I haven't read the comics but I won't mind change..

you know a certain *cough* Jaden Smith *cough* might be good... :p

because by the time they have to kill Peter (maybe) then Jaden would be ready..this is my opinion..

The thing is that I love Peter Parker as much as I do Spider-Man. While I enjoy reading some stories with Miguel O'Hara or Ben Reilly, it is just not the same.

Peter Parker will always be the true Spider-Man.

My favorites!!!
1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman Begins
3. Spider-Man 2
4. Kick-Ass
5. Iron Man
6. Batman 89
7. Watchmen
9. Avengers
10. Thor/Captain America/First Class (all tied)

Since everybody is writing a list of their favourite superhero movie;

1). Dark Knight
2). Spiderman 2
3). Spiderman 1
4). Batman Begins
5). Hulk 2002
6). Xmen Origins Wolverine and First Class
7). Daredevil (I yes I enjoyed this more than Avengers ok :p)
8) Avengers
9). Spiderman 3 (It takes a lot to ruin a movie for me :p)
10). Ironman (havent watched Ironman 2 yet)
11). Thor/Captain America.

All in order

I wouldn't say NOBODY wants to. I'm sure there are some fans who are considering the possibility. But yeah, Miles in a movie? No. Please no. In fact, subtract that please. Just no.

a Miles Morales film would be badass. nay-sayers can choke on a load of web fluid

Probably I'm late but...

"But most important: all of the changed origin stuff is gone. The bits about Peter's dad manipulating his genetic code is out, meaning there now is NO Untold Story."

Where did you get that? And even if that's true, it's still The Untold Story since it has Peter's parents, The Lizard, a different Gwen, a different Captain Stacey, different fight scenes, and a more realistic Peter Parker.

It doesn't really matter though... when the reboot was announced, people complained that there was no point in retelling the same story.
Then it was revealed that they actually changed a lot of stuff, and people complained some more. There's just no escape.

If the movie sucks it won't be because of "messed up origins", I'm sure of that.

don't flame me for saying this but did they ever release an official poster for The Lizard like they did for Doc Ock for SM2? or is it just the Dr.Connors one?
