I still can't believe WM (or Iron Patriot, whatever) doesn't have a single second of action in the suit in IM3.

Technically, the Iron Patriot Armor did see action in "Iron Man 3", it just wasn't Rhodey who was inside of it when it happened. :o:oldrazz:

Rhodey did suit up as iron patriot in im3!! He did see some action in it as well...During the factory scene :)

But Rhodey did break into the fake factory in Pakistan and take out a couple guards before being knocked out by the Extremis soldier. It wasn't up to the action he had in IM2, but it was still him doing something.

Does the factory scene really count as a action scene though? Then again I haven't watched the film in quite awhile, but I only remember him busting down a door and just shooting one person for one shot.

Most of the action that had been promoted for "Iron Patriot" in the trailers was actually from the sequence on board Air force one and that was revealed to be Killian's right hand man in that instead.

What, if any, are the current theories behind what everyone seems to be defending in this pic? Whatever it is is slowly spinning around. Oh and hi everyone! Can't wait!!!

Last time i heard, it was a portal.:o

From those lines that we hear on the featurette, Evans doing his snowpiercer voice for cap's character in AoU.... And it's just perfect.....That's the way I listened Cap's voice when I read the comics.....

Up to this movie, Cap, imo, didn't have that atittude of a leader. He sometimes was wimpy, helpless and too straight......Cap now has a more intense, active and commanding atittude....

Hmmm... not really digging the Nat/Bruce relationship. Seems like a very odd choice. Hopefully it's not distracting, but I can easily see it being one of the few things I'll skip over during repeated viewings.

It's kind of funny when I look back and remember on how some (if not a lot of us, including me) thought that it would be hard to outdo the scale that was created in the First Avengers' Film (Invasion of New York City), but with the inclusion of the Avengers going global in this film in what appears to be some breathtaking sequences, it seems like it's been done.

PERSONALLY I think it has something to do with Vision's creation

I would imagine that Vision would be introduced/created much earlier than that since I'm assuming that the group shot featuring all of the Avengers takes place in the final act.

In a featurette that came out a few months ago, paul bettany was in costume as vision in that shot.

It'll probably have to do with (spoilers from the junior novel ahead)
the various devices Strucker was working on in his base. The novel mentions a "gravity device" Strucker tried and failed to create which Ultron says he perfected (with the help of the scepter) and it's "the centerpiece of his plan for the world." My guess is that could end up being what's responsible for the flying city?

I think it might be some sort of EMP device that shuts down all the sentries. Eventually they are going to actually face Ultron head-to-head. I would find it hard to believe if the Avengers were able to destroy every single one of the drones.

...that would explain alot

Yeah I also believed it was some
anti-gravity device, but I could not figure out any reason why the Avengers would be protecting it.

Seems allmost the most logical one to me. They both have had or have a monster inside, they both have a past where they did terrible things, they both tend to keep an emotional distance and are very guarded from others, both feel that they have to control theyre own emotions, they both have a very low key, allmost sarcastic wit and sense of humor...

Its perhaps for different reasons, but they have a lot in common. And at the same time, they are a bit of oposites, him being the more shy and her being the most proactive one, and as the saying goes, oposites atract each other. I think if you look past the surface, that combination of oposition and relation makes for a very believeable relationship.

Dont get me wrong, you are entitled not to like it, of course, but i dont think its as odd or out there as people are making it out to be if you look close enough.

Alexander Pierce: " it's only a matter of time before an EMP device fries Chicago " :shr:

By the way, what does Banner says to Nat when she asks him how long before he can trust her?

Often wondered WHY Chicago? What's there, the sports teams aren't THAT great but the Deep Dish is AWESOME! lol

So...it's kinda going to be like Man of Steel? :cwink:
