Yea that criticism makes no sense at all. The whole point of an Android is that it's a robot that looks and acts like a human.

My problem is that Data in TNG looks ambiguous in age in the beginning. Later in the movies he started to see the actor's age. That's kind of what I feel here. Later Data.

Not sure if this has been posted (or if its true):

Steven Weintraub @colliderfrosty
Seeing AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON tomorrow night. Just heard no social media embargo after screening. Means Disney is VERY confident in film.

^^Yep, we're all prepared to Twitter-stalk all these bloggers later tonight. :D

well that's embarrassing, but I'll do my part!
Talk all you want about it in the spoiler thread tho PLEASE lol no spoiler tags in there. but NO BOOTLEG!!! not that YOU would Joe lol

So do we need to throw up a rate the movie thread yet? We just need to make sure we do the rate and review threads separately so the rate thread will stay open and not close after one day

Those will come but on the 12th at the earliest. Anything created earlier will be closed.

Because we'll get a bunch of votes from people who haven't watched the movie. It'll make for an inaccurate poll. I don't see any harm in someone making the actual review thread now but the poll thread shouldn't be created yet.

Ideally the poll thread would be created on the 22nd as that's when it starts opening internationally and most of the votes we get at that point will actually be legitimate.

The poll thread will be locked regardless so people don't get locked out from voting due to thread manager.

getting so close. The fanboy in me is getting anxious

love this!!

it's just tooooo muuuuuchhhhh!!!! • on apr 9, 2015 6:43 am
yes, those 3-6 superhero movies that come out each year, destroy the market of the 10+ romcoms, 8+ animated, 5+ sci-fi, 5+ based off a ya novel, 20+ oscar bait, and 10+ sundance/indie films that come out each year.
Those superhero films have totally edged out all those others for sure. It’s like hollywood only makes superhero movies now-a-days! Sometimes i have to wait 3-5 months before a new one comes out! I can’t handle the oversaturation!!!

If we make the rating thread no discussion won't it stay open forever as long as we don't hit 41 pages of comments right? I just remember the only reason I got to vote in the Avengers rating thread was because I saw it on the Thursday night premiere and by Friday the thread was locked and the poll was closed, so if we do seperate rate and review threads it should solve that problem

We can wait DJ. I see what Craig's saying.

Every film seems to get a bunch of 1s out of 10 from the usual idiots.

Yeah but in a way I see that guy's point. At times I worry TOO many Superhero related movies and tv shows might back fire and kill them. In the mean time, until Hollywood can come up with something BETTER lol I'm all for them. lol

The 1s are just trolling. Even if they have seen the film in question and genuinely hated it their likely view is probably between a 3-5 out of 10. Bit of a coincidence that nearly every poll done has a load of people voting for the minimum mark and then almost noone voting for the mark above the minimum mark.

As for overdoing it people might eventually tire of the fringe properties but I think superhero films will at some stage become a permanent, persistent sub-genre that will bounce back even if overexposed for a while. The main benefit in being able to link everything is you get some level of loyal support that see nearly all of your stuff by habit year in year out. Some of these UK & Australian soaps have been airing every weekday since I was a kid and are still going strong!

I think that as long as the companies keep making good movies people will want to see them. I don't think the genre matters. There are tons of drama, action, horror, comedies, etc coming out each year and it just goes on. The problem is if you make bad movies and lose your creativity so you just start to copy what's already done, then people will grow tired regardless of genre.

That's just what I think though.

When was it we could expect to start getting Tweets about this film??? I know the fellas over at AMC-Movie talk will be seeing it today.

The AMC Movie Talk guys said to expect the first posts and tweets around 10 PM PST. I don't know if there's screenings in other areas that start earlier though.
