Fanboys don't care if it gets mostly positive reviews, they always freak out if a film gets below a certain rating. If the movie ends a point below 80% on RT, then it's the worst reviewed film ever...to fanboys.

God yes! Sums it up perfectly!

So far, this movie sounds like it's really well done. And anything in the high 70's or greater on RT is a great score for a blockbuster. People need to relax.

Just saw it. Quick summary - entertaining but flawed. Missing something the first film had.

Mid level easily. I'll type something more detailed when I get home.

Does anyone know if the creepy version of the song, I've Got No Strings, from the trailer is in the movie or not?

its not used, at least from what i remember. i dont remember it getting an orchestra treatment either. but i do think Ultron actually uses the line "I got no strings" or something which alludes to the Pinocchio song.

dude try to give it a second screening. someone i went with thought it was watered down until we started talking about it and realized there was a LOT. so it wasnt watered down, it was more... information overload :funny: in any case, i had that feeling where it was so much going on it just went by really quickly and made me go huh.... but yeah, second screening. its a necessity now ;nd

Im gonna see it on May 1st so Ill review it too.

I actually don't think it was that dense. To be honest the thing I took away most from this film was familiarity, the magic that made the first film so special is absent in this movie. I have issues with the villain too which I will go into detail shortly. I'll post my review in the user review thread shortly.

Dude or Dudette. Seriously? Go and see the frelling movie. Frell the other people and go see it again on Saturday. I'm gonna be dying for another week and a day and you're asking whether you should wait.....arggggghhhhhh!!!!

Anyway, after you've seen it twice, you'll seem like an expert and way smarter than everyone else. Personally, I love it when that happens (cause it ain't that often). :woot:

I don't know if you're crazy or just bragging. :cwink:

No, no bragging, it was a genuine question. I find myself enjoying the experience a lot more if I share it with people who wants to see the movie as much as me (I went to see Avengers 4 times with 4 different groups of people). But I can't wait and I have spare time to go -and finding tickets for just one person is easier-.
I think I'll go and f*** the rest! :woot:

We might see a lot of these. No way was it going to be able to capture the magic of us seeing them all come together for the 1st time:

the mid credit scene was leaked on the site that will not be named 0_0

Was it really?

Not as good as Avengers, GotG, Iron Man or Cap 2.

But it was so much fun, and a bit deep. Sometimes it tried to be both a bit too much.

It felt like some part of it was missing, not sure what.

whedn's cut was supposedly 1 hour longer, wasn't it? It may explain that.

I think this movie will be a grower over time, I can't wait till next week to see it for myself!

Seem like it could have used a few of those extra cut minutes though to round it out, this is why people care about run time lol

Don't get me wrong, it's amazing. Really powerful. But yeah, just missing that last gear.

I'm supposed to see it this week-end, but sadly I may not be able to :'(

Mahvel: I think people are expecting a remix of Avengers 1 and not getting it. while it wasnt meant to be that to begin with. Its supposed to be Empire Strikes Back, not A New Hope.

If you had to compare to another film series sequel, what film would you compare it to?

Based on reviews, AOU doesn't sound like it's on Empire Strikes Back or Spider-Man 2 or TDK or Dawn of the Planet of the Apes or Wrath of Khan or X2 level where the sequel is all around better then the first and praised more then the first.

Would you say it's more Batman Returns level where it's about as equal to the first or MIB2 level where it's not as good as the first (not saying AOU will be MIB2 level but moreso in terms of comparing sequels to the originals).

I never expected a remix of TA 1. I wanted the empire strikes back, so if it's what I'm getting, I'm happy.

I remember thinking the same thing when I saw HP Chamber of Secrets (though it was probably the weakest movie in the HP line up). The wonder and newness of The Sorcerer's Stone couldn't be caught again. I liked where they went after that (esp with Prisoner of Azkaban which was my favorite movie of the entire franchise), but nothing was ever quite so new and quite so eye opening as the first one. After the original, it's old friends meeting again....different, but still can be very cool.
