Yeah, loved that. As for the rest... yeah, language barrier or just different brand of cultural humor or something. I think the guys have done enough press overseas (Hiddleston & Hemsworth with Thor, Ruffalo surely has does done over seas press junkets and what not before) that they're able to roll with it pretty well despite the awkwardness - doesn't stop me being uncomfortable and embarrassed for them though *lol*

I just hope they're able to sleep at some point *lol*... Russia to London to Rome to Germany all within the space of, what? A week and a half? Hope none of them end up burning out or anything (pardon my fangirl concern - it pops up now and again :oldrazz:)
Yeah, felt the same way Silvermoon.

They need to Reboot The Justice Friend!!!

Cap was fighting the Chitauri hand-to-hand throughout midtown Manhattan, coordinating with the police. He got word that some people were trapped in a brokerage (or a bank, can't remember) and ran over to rescue them. There were Chitauri inside the building, planning to blow it up. Cap fought with them and kicked all their asses after a brief struggle. In the heat of the battle, his helmet was ripped off by one of them. When it became clear that Cap was winning, one of the aliens set off a small bomb. Cap held up his shield to take the brunt of the explosion, but the force of it blew him backwards out of the window. The people inside escaped; you can see them outside the building when Cap lands on the car.
:wow: Holy cow. Never even knew this sequence existed!

And about that german interview, the pny advertising part was pretty funny. :p

Subtle! :funny: These days that would have brought about a big racial issue.

So true... How I miss the 90's, when things were so much easier.

It could if Avengers fans pushed for it. :oldrazz:

Don't forget the Greatest of all!!!

Monkey!!!

I thought of Monkey but I can't think of an actual comic character that he's a parody of!

All i know is that he got his powers because Dexter experimented on him. I all ways thought he was original.

That's because it's one of many awesome scenes that we've all (those of us who have seen the film) simply been grouping into the "Epic Final Battle." Y'all are so unprepared. :woot:

Haha, youre all jerks. :argh: :O

I think that may be my favorite interview in, like, ever. Between the miscues, the totally missed sarcasm and the guys just rolling with it...I mean, that could have been disastrous, but turned out awesome.

And from now on I'm assuming the Anti-Pony advertising platform is a worldwide campaign against My Little Pony.

The interviewer guy knew absolutely nothin about the film.

Don't forget...

White Tiger=Black Panther

Agent Honeydew= Black Widow?

Miss Pell= Scarlet Witch

And this is one of the reasons why I think that Gendy would be the perfect person (aside from Yost) to produce, write, and direct an AVENGERS animated series.

Idk about anyone else, but personally:
I'm glad that Whedon included some scenes of the Avengers directly saving some civilians from harm's way. I think it's more exciting personally to see the heroes/a hero having to deal with the villainous group while in the same time, having to help directly protect nearby civilians from getting hurt and injured instead of the heroes just being there to smash any and all opponents that they can find.

Related to the above, I just re-read the first issue of Whedon's "Dangerous" arc on Astonishing X-Men. It's one of the best issues in his entire run, and it feels like a template for much of what people are praising in The Avengers. The main plotline features the X-Men teaming up with the Fantastic Four to take down a big monster in downtown New York (sound familiar?), and the issue is packed with great teamwork, inventive uses of powers, witty one-liners, and perfect character stuff. Not to mention a great example of what herolee mentions in spoiler tags above.

I so agree. In fact, some of my favorite moments of civil war were when the heroes were helping to clean up the mess in stanford. As much as I love that they help people by defeating foes, its cool to see them protect and help citizens in other ways besides fighting

That would be a dream come true.

Just saw a new spot (at least for me). Had a dub step track to it and Iron Man flying backwards as he shot his repulsor rays and at the end Tony saying "What's wrong with the guy letting off a little bit of steam?" and then a shot of Hulk on a jet tearing it up.

I like how they sent Hemsworth, Hiddleston, ScarJo and Ruffalo all to Rome and just Renner to Beijing. Haha

I think he just went to the big LA and UK premieres. SLJ and Evans were only at the LA premiere

I saw the new motion comic DVD of "Dangerous" at Walmart and had to buy it. I had forgotten how good Whedon's X-Men turned out. It's the perfect time to watch that and remind ourselves!
