It is kind of sad to think that there could be CAMs by this weekend of this movie. But that is the price Disney & MARVEL will pay. For not doing a Word Wide Release

I can't see why anyone would want to watch this on a cam. It would completely ruin the experience

Kids nowadays don't give a **** about atmosphere. If they can watch it on their smartphone they will.

Less than 24 hours I will be sitting in that theatre watching those trailers before the Avengers!

heh that amc marathone ticket's 40 bucks? There better be some premium extras at the price

I think one is better off watching them spread out throughout a few days before the premiere in their own home.

Spending $40 dollars is just too much for my taste. Plus I wouldn't want to tire myself out and have myself be lethargic and daze out through The Avengers itself. I want to be fresh and aware so I can soak in the movie as much as possible. :)

Well back when the Extended Lotr dvds first came out, a local Imax showed them all back to back, but had intermissions and planned events during the breaks. but I think those were 20 a ticket

DIDN'T FIEGE SAY THAT THE SCENE THEY WERE SHOOTING AFTER THE PREMIERE WAS JUST RESHOOTS AND NOT A WHOLE NEW SCENE. I REMEMBER HIM SAYING RDJ'S STATEMENT WAS BLOWN OUTTA PROPORTION.

-DOOM :doom:
it's the fact that it's premired already. Reshoots or not, that's just odd nomatter how you look at it adding to a film after it's premired.

The only movie I've ever known that to happen to was the original Conan movie. there was a scene cut from the movie I saw out east that the women lib group had removed. That's the only time I ever heard of films being editted AFTER a premire.

I don't know what the reason was in the end but there were 2 cuts of the FF doing the rounds when that was first released. Just changes to the FX in a couple of scenes I think*, but both versions were in the theatres for whatever reason.

*Both involving Mr. Fantastic iirc. The first was when the Thing uses the Fire Hydrant water on the molten Doom. In one cut the water goes straight at Doom, in the other Reed funnels it in a loop at him.
The second was right at the end. In one when he goes down on one knee to propose his head stays where it is (neck stretches) and in the other he just goes down normally.

3 Days! I'll be in line by 8:30 pm for the midnight screening :yay:

I must confess I've never been an Avengers fan, only a Hulk fan and my first exposure to the characters of Marvel was in the 90's cartoon, so I wasn't exposed to Avengers that much but I knew them.
In my country is hard to find comics and the only ones I used to buy were Hulk and X-men.
Nowdays I have access to a comic store and I have a job that affords me 10 series, one of them Avengers and I'm liking every bit of it. These movies are a dream come true and we should be happy we are getting them. There's no need to fight between MCU fans and Nolan fans, enjoy both for what they are (although imho Nolan's films can't compare to MS films. Yes both are based in comics but is like trying to compare Rocketeer to Sin City).

If I could go back in time and tell my kid self that in 2012 we will get an Avengers movie I wouldn't belive it :hehe:

Again, sorry for my english

Yes there were two different cuts of the movie, the international cut and the U.S. cut. Both were circulating around. Some of those scenes were included in the extended cut movie (which is worse than the theatrical release).

I did a marathon of all five MCU movies this past Saturday. Man, that was a HAUL (but totally worth it). I don't think I could do the AMC marathon, though. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't schedule hour-long lunch and dinner breaks into the agenda like we did.

BTW, watching them back-to-back, TIH sticks out like a sore thumb, and not in a good way. It felt way too muted in tone.

What do you mean by a "muted"?

My plan was to do this marathon at my house on the 3rd leading up to the midnight showing. I'm starting to get nervous that it may be too much movie-watching in one day.

Lack of emotion. Most of that came from the leads, so I have to assume they were directed to act that way.

I like that movie alot and it would've been a LOT better if they included the deleted scenes. Norton's performance in those scenes was great (with a lot of emotion).
