The one scene I wanted to see that was cut out of the film was the scene in the trailers between Bruce and Ty Burrel's Doc Samson. They could have done some deeper digging into Banner's psyche, which would have been nice. I remembered seeing that scene in the trailers and recalling Loeb and Sale's Hulk: Gray (also recalled it with the cave scene).

My plan was to do this marathon at my house on the 3rd leading up to the midnight showing. I'm starting to get nervous that it may be too much movie-watching in one day.
That's why I will avoid doing a marathon. I want to be as fresh as possible when I see TA, and I don't want to risk feeling like I've already had my fill of Marvel for the day. I feel it's better to be really hungry going into a feast. :)

So I've been watching some interviews and
I'm thinking that they will find some way to bring agent coulson back, clark gregg seemed pretty sure of it. :p

Personally, I would love if he does.

I feel like some people will complain because [BLACKOUT] it would erase the gravitas and meaning his death had [/BLACKOUT], but I love his character too much to care.

Just watched the interviews. Lotta great stuff in there.

For any doubters, (not that I think there are many left) *heavy spoiler ahead* [BLACKOUT] Tom confirms Thanos, and Gregg seems incredibly confident Coulson will return. Interesting... [/BLACKOUT].

It's not too bad if you set a good schedule. Here was ours:

10am start: IM1
1:30-min. lunch break
IM2
30-min. break
TIH
1 hour dinner break
Thor
30-min. break
Cap

You'll be done by midnight at the latest.

So the new DKR trailer is supposed to play with the Avengers.

I'm wondering how this works?

Does WB pay Disney/Paramount or do they pay the movie theaters for playing their trailers?

Anyone knows this answer? I don't know either

I haven't seen the latest spots, but this is the point at which I would stop watching ads and clips if I had not already seen the movie. Believe me, there are some things you would be better off seeing in the theater rather than on a TV screen.

I'm w/y there. I never understood why people want to see everything of a particular movie.

WB pays Disney/Paramount. The amount is undisclosed (always) but you can bet it'll be big money.

Is this a good move on the marketing department? Im unsure about it

It's just a reminder before the beginning of the film. I doubt people are going to walk out of the theatre after 2 hours and 15 minutes talking about how amazing the new TDKR trailer was. lol. :cwink:

Its weird, on one hand they'll be promoting their flim in front of one of the most anticipated films of the year. On the other hand is like Marvel is promoting DC stuff.

Maybe if that movie was John Carter. :cwink: j/k

Yeah, I get what you're saying.

But WB was smart in that regard...why wouldn't they market a comic book film with another comic book film? Common sense really. I bet Spider-Man will be in front of Avengers too, but that's a given.

Bwahahaha true.

Why wouldn't it? It's a fantastic move. The audience attending to see The Avengers will likely want to see TDKR too. What better way to start the final (second phase) stage of the marketing with the debut of another massive CBM?

Disney, Paramount, Dreamworks, New Line, MGM, etc have all done it in the past.

Putting the tdkr trailer in front of THE AVENGERS does indeed make sense but I'm still a bit surprised they didn't save it for dark shadows.

You should stop thinking this way.

It's business.

Trust me, WB/DCE and Marvel Studios/Disney are not at each other's throats (unless their films are released within the same month).

Doomsday, I think he meant he was unsure if it was a smart move for the Marvel marketing department.

Either way, it's less about Marvel and DC and more about the companies distributing the films.

BUT WB/DCE and Disney/Marvel Studios have 'collaborated' before. It hasn't caused a negative effect on either company as of yet. It's simply promoting films and getting paid for it.

This isn't anywhere close to the first time it's happened. There are also DC ads in Marvel comics and Marvel ads in DC comics all the time. You have to pay for the movie/comic to see the ad, they're not losing money.
