Whoa so the C. stands for Calvin? I always thought you were just a huge Christopher Lee fan or something

I am....but it isn't. I had never been on the internet or used a computer when we got ours. I had been reading Entertainment Weekly and it had a story that listed several websites that people should visit. SHH was one of them. I came here and signed up....didn't understand that people made up names, so I signed up using my real name. Most people think I meant Christopher Lee (which would have been a good one to use)....but it's just me.

while Dave IS my real first name, McFly is not (but it would be cool as hell if it was ;) ).

Oh great, now I want that, even though I already have the trilogy on Blu Ray. :argh:

I will be pre-ordering this immediately!

I've only got the DVD set, and the packaging's a little screwed up. So does that mean I get a guilt free upgrade? :p

I'll probably wait a few years before I upgrade, but I will once the price comes down. I'm in no rush to get it, but I will one day.

It feels like I just got the 25th anniversary set but that's on DVD so I'll get this.

I just have the 25th blu set but it was bought with Xmas gift card I got back in 2010. I am SO getting this, mainly for the animated series (FYI you can buy the animated series by itself without having to get the 30th sets), the book, and that sweet Flux Capacitor box. by the way I still love the trailer for the 2002 DVD release using "Power of Love".

I personally hate when people disable the ability for YT videos to be posted in forums like this and can only be viewed on youtube.com :argh:.

The St. Louis Symphony will be live scoring Back to the Future at 3 shows Halloween weekend this year.

I went to live scorings they did for Psycho and the first Pirates of the Caribbean. Amazing experiences.

I remember catching a few episodes here and there. If I recall correctly it focused a lot more on Doc's kids than anybody else, Marty wasn't in it much.

I watched it, but I don't remember it that well. I do remember the McDonalds toys that came out. I got them all.

I still have my VHS tape of the first movie from 1986...

At least it's better than the godawful Mork and Mindy cartoon!

For me, it depends on whats on the bonus disc, because the existing extras disc with the current blu ray set is v solid and if it's just that again plus a 'gosh, we are 30 yrs old' re-hash, then I'll forget it but if there is extensive new interviews etc. I might buy as I love my BTTF boxset now and really have no need for another.

Me too. :cmad:

There was a Mork & Mindy CARTOON?! jesus.

Wonder if the transfer will be new. Movie trilogy deserves Lawrence of Arabia and Indiana Jones treatment.

Oh yes indeed, it ran for one season on ABC in 1982-1983, as part of the"Mork and Mindy/ Laverne & Shirley/ The Fonz" hour on Saturday mornings. The live action Mork and Mindy show had already been cancelled the previous spring but I guess they figured they'd already spent the money on the cartoon so they might as well air it. It's pretty awful. Robin Williams is supposed to have done Mork's voice but it doesn't sound like him to me. Pam Dawber and Conrad Janis were also involved. There are clips on YouTube.

The weird thing is that the live action M&M show had been suffering from nosediving ratings for three years before the cartoon came out so I'm not sure why they thought kids would watch a cartoon version if they wouldn't even watch the "real" version.

So by comparison the Back to the Future cartoon came off pretty well!
