I don't like the pattern of the design, or the red to yellow ratio. He looks like an anime reject in that suit.

I am really hoping for something that at least retains the comic book look somewhat (as I said, the comic book suit is an already perfect design - no need to change it). That crap earlier that was thankfully debunked was terrible.

Well if all else fails....at least we'll still have Snyder's version to look forward to if he does The Flash in Superman/Batman and/or JLA...right? He's bound to at least get the suit right....right? At least.... :)

Remains to be seen if Flash will even be in the film universe at this point. If the show really takes off with popularity similar to Arrow, I can see WB playing chicken and keeping Flash out of film for even longer (so to prevent "poisoning" the great success of the TV universe). I don't want to see this happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does.

But I'm optimistic about the suit. Ollie's suit looked good from day one in my opinion. The addition of the mask just bumped that up a few more points. Assuming they use the same folks, I can see this adaption being faithful and believable.

CW's viewship and ratings cannot compete with the amount of money a movie can earn, and right now WB is falling short of movie franchises, so two versions of Flash may happen afterall.

On the subject of 90's tv show suit, ive always thought that its a shame there are no pics out there of the suit before the cooling system was installed. Weve been led to believe for years that the sheer bulk came from the cooling system and that it wasnt an aesthetic choice so presumably it would have been smaller, although i can only imagine smaller traps as that was were body of the uniys were housed (with tubes running throughout). Wesley Shipp was in shape but he was no olympian, which is what his flash resembled at times.

It'll be great to have a flash with a more suitable (runner) look this time round.

Tom Cavanagh Joins CW’s ‘The Flash’
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

Tom Cavanagh (Ed) is the latest addition to the CW pilot The Flash, based on the DC comic. The project, from Warner Bros TV and Berlanti Productions, is an origin story about Barry Allen, aka The Flash (Grant Gustin), a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. Cavanagh will play Harrison Wells, a rock star in the world of physics and the mind and money behind Central City’s S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator. He becomes a pariah after the lab’s explosion, but he charts his path to redemption when he discovers that his failed experiment had the unintended consequence of creating the world’s fastest man.

just found this cool fan concept art, check it out:http://imgur.com/DCparok

Miss the real logo but that's much better than that debunked concept art earlier. I'd be happy with that in comparison, just make the lightning trim look more lightningy and the give him the real Flash logo instead of the two pronged animated one and we're good to go.

You beat me to it, you bastard! :argh::oldrazz:

Great news.

The CW's 'Flash' Casts Original Barry Allen in Mysterious Role

John Wesley Shipp will guest star in the pilot playing a mysterious character. Details for his character are being kept close to the vest. If the proposed Arrow spinoff receives a series order, his role would expand to recurring status.

Great news! Maybe they will introduce multiple Earths and JWS will be the Flash from one of them.

I'm assuming Jay Garrick as well. Either that or Barry's dad, but I can't imagine they'd be so secretive if that were his character.

I hope not. I would rather there not be multiple earths/timelines etc.

I think it would be awesome if JWS's character was the one who saved Barry. Since Barry is the first speedster AFAIK well you see where I am going.

Don't know much about Jay Garrick but my first thought after hearing this was that he'd probably train Barry and be his Diggle.
