Looks good, helmet looks great. I'm more interested to see how they pull off the super speed.

The Flash was always going to be a difficult character to bring to the small screen because the budget really won't be there.

Fine... i'll say it...
i think the new Flash suit is pretty **** based on set pics.

The cowl pic was great. love the cowl. everything else is reeeeally bad... man...

Hate to be the one to say this, I really wanted to like it...

I'm hoping it looks better on film, those set pics are NOT flattering at all

Queue the relentless defenders... who cares what I think? It's just my opinion.

Definitely reminiscent of the Arrow costume. The tunic area has that jacket look to it somewhat.

I think the suit looks great. I do like the red instead of the white, it will add to the color when the superspeed motion comes to play.
I'm thinking the belt just isn't finished. It looks like there could be another symbol on the belt buckle.

:hehe:

jk, dude. I kinda agree with you on some stuff. The red behind the logo looks bad. I don't think the yellow boots are 100% necessary, but I do think the suit would look better with them.

But honestly, I think you're kinda exaggerating when you say: "it looks like The Flash has effectively been CW'd".

Lol, I have a lot of mixed emotions about it, it honestly looks different with every new picture. I just know it'd look better with:

- the white behind the chest logo instead of red

- the gold lightning style trim on the gloves and waist/belt area

- the Ethan Van Sciver style ear pieces

... and gold lightning trim like he wears on his arms in the comics on his boots if they really don't want him in gold boots.

I absolutely hate that belt buckle. My god is it clunky looking.

Really looks like Marvel's Ultimate Giant Man and DareDevil:

....actually I think DareDevil is redder.

:hehe:

:(

Fair enough. But it goes both ways. Linking the two universes limits the Arrow-verse/whatever we're calling it just as much as the films. I'd rather both be able to go full-tilt instead of having to worry about what the other side is doing.

But to WB, the gain of having Flash portrayed as well as he possibly could on the big screen (via the right actor) and ensuring that the movie is as enjoyable/successful as it possibly could is more important than the potential ratings bump that the show gets from being linked to the films.

Well...I think so at least. I'm not sure what the numbers would be on that.

Just picture if Iron Man started on the CW without RDJ (because they were limited to a CW casting call).

Am I the only one who's digging the red behind the logo?

I don't like it personally. The fact that it's a brighter shade and a different material sort of makes the rest of the suit look a lot darker by comparison.

I think the set pics are of the stunt suit. From the picture we got earlier we know there is a lot of texture to it. I obviously don't know for sure just my theory on the matter.

It reminds me of the ASM suit for some reason.

It reminds me of that a lot too for some reason.

I'm hoping the next one is TASM2 equivalent and we don't have to wait two years to see it.

I'm still impressed by the costume... It's red, and it's tight!

Granted, my expectations were really low because of CW.

Plus, they can always change things that get negative feedback. It happens all the time.

1. That Iron Man/RDJ argument is tired.
2. I wasn't disagreeing with you. I'd rather not see either side step on the other's toes.

Set pics are hardly ever flattering. I don't even remember when they were. It will look better on screen.
Yeah i know that, but the actual design is pretty weak imo.

Glad to see other people like it, but i think the body of the suit fails pretty hard. I had such high hopes.

TBH, after seeing the cowl, it made me want Gustin in the movie universe, but after seeing the rest of the suit, I want Wilkinson to come up with his own Flash suit and intro a new Flash in the DC movie universe.

Yeah after seeing those set pics... I'm definitely supportive of the separate universes now...

Much disappoint :/

Still the writing is basically guaranteed to be good, and i'll be tuning in every week to check it out

Exactly. This is a good costume for their budget. Some people have over the top expectations. This is essentially what Flash looks like anyway. Add some lightning streaks effects and it will look great.

^THAT looks solid. I'm actually really digging the color scheme, and I have to think it'll look even better within the context of the show's color scheme and with color correction applied.

I'm wondering if there will be a "lightning effect" around certain parts of his body, similar to the comics.

Also, I don't think that belt is just a belt. I think it's a portable crime lab or something along those lines.
