I think Cronenberg is mad because his comic book movie (A History of Violence, which is very good) didn't light the world on fire like Nolan's Batman movies did. He definitely comes across as a total *****e in that interview. Pattinson, however, actually comes across pretty well.
Last time I heard something this stupid from "insiders" here on the board was when they said Cavill was out for the same stupid reason. One of our insiders here on the board casually alluded to why someone like Bomer wouldn't get a lead role like that. He's out.

I know he's been brought up before, but I still think Matt Bomer would make a good Bruce Wayne / Batman.
I feel like his little anti-Nolan rant comes off kinda petty, like he's pissed off and surprised that more people were interested in seeing a Batman movie than a movie where Robert Pattinson rides around in a limo all day.
Would anyone else really like to see a Vince Gilligan outline for a Batman movie? Then give it to Johnathan Nolan for scripting.

He's got the versatility imo. He's certainly surprised me over the years with what he can do.
I feel there's a certain level of potential in him to pull of someone like the Joker.
All he has to do is take his head out his ass, stop thinking he's either too good or something for a role in these type of movies and just have fun![]()
