Harmon Walsh is the right candidate for Bruce Wayne / Batman.

To be fair, I haven't seen anything on his resume, but he's pretty close to how I envision Bruce.

Oh don't get me wrong, I think he's perfect looks-wise, much more so for Batman than Supes (which is what he was constantly brought up for before). But whenever people posted clips of his acting in the Superman casting threads, I was constantly left thinking, "what are people seeing that I'm not?" He's very much a lightweight in the acting department, imo.

I'm going completely left field for the choice of Batman.

Rob Kazinsky.
He's a British actor, just being cast along side Willem Dafoe in new Del Toro movie, and he was personally asked by George Lucas to be in his new movie.

If you've seen him in Eastenders, you know he can act. I always see Batman in him.

He was craaaaazaaaay in Eastenders. He's actually a good actor, far too good for something like Eastenders.

I've never even seen the guy in motion, but I do like his look, and he's got two high-profile projects coming up, so his star may be on the rise. If he's as good an actor as you guys say, I could definitely get on board with that one. Nice new suggestion Rodrigo.

He shouldn't have left The Hobbit, that could've been his breakout role.

Can he do an American accent?

Frankly I'd like to see an older Batman with his complete supporting cast for the next films. Distance them enough to make them seem like they continued the Nolan franchise, but make enough changes to make them stand on their own (like X-Men First Class).

Eric Dane - Bruce Wayne/ Batman

Ian Somhalder - Nightwing (Dick Grayson) - Jump right in to this character I say. Give a little backstory in dialogue about him being the first Robin.
ian-somerhalder.jpg

Timothy Dalton - Alfred Pennyworth - I'm really drawing inspiration from the Jim Lee era Batman comics. I think that kind of gritty but solid action flick is the perfect follow up, because it can be comic bookish while retaining some of the dark elements from the Nolanverse.

Robin (Tim Drake) - Logan Lerman - Yup, who else. You guessed it.
logan-lerman-0.jpg

Joker - Crispin Glover - This time NO ORIGIN WHATSOEVER. He's just there, like he's supposed to be there
Crispin%20Glover-1.jpg

James Gordon - Bryan Cranston. And he'll just be there too, I wouldn't even bother casting Bruce's Parents for this one
2009+Writers+Guild+Awards+Arrivals+FAsTA0e7Ix0l.jpg

Red Hood (Jason Todd) - Jensen Ackles - Yes, the voice actor no less. He proved it though and I think Under the Red Hood is an interesting basis for a Batman film. I suspect TDKR is introducing the Lazarus Pit, heck that seems confirmed, so it would be a way to tie the new movies to the old ones without necessarily being a part of them.
jensen-ackles.jpg

Riddler - Neal Patrick Harris - I'd love to throw an additional villain in there to chew the scenarie a bit. Maybe just be used as a somewhat plot device in Arkham. I think this would be great.
neil-patrick-harris-300.jpg

Killer Croc - Kevin Grevioux - I wanted a villain in the beginning, a la Amazo in Under the Red Hood, but I wanted someone who was a Batman villain, not a Justice League villain. I wanted this villain to show that not all Batman villains are "dudes in suits", that some of them are quite monsterous and have super powers of sorts.

(The Dialogue is going to be real clunky here because I'm honestly just trying to set how I'd construct a basic opening scene)

INT. ARKHAM – NIGHT

BIRD’S EYE VIEW

A lonely guard wanders the hall idly peering in each room. The hall is dimly lit, and the man’s shadow dances upon the walls as he makes his way through the hallway.

GUARD

Room 3…check
(pause)
Room 4…check
(pause)
Room 5…uh-huh
(pause – mumbles)
tired of this bullsh** (inaubile)

CAMERA ON DOORWAY RIPPED OFF THE HINGES

As he slowly passes one room the door has been ripped off the hinges and thrown into the room itself.

The GUARD lifts his microphone to his face.

GUARD
Room 6, we have an issue, send backup.

The GUARD grabs his flashlight and enters the room. He shines his light around the room, nothing.

ANGLE ON THE CEILING

ANT’S EYE VIEW of the GUARD lifting his flashlight high and peering at the ceiling to reveal a gapping hole ripped right into it.

THE GUARD slowly lowers his flashlight to the ground to reveal a pair of haircuffs lying unlocked on the floor.

GUARD
What the fu*

A PAIR OF MONSTEROUS CLAWS descend and quickly snatch the man upwarps.

CUT TO. INT. HALLWAY – ARKHAM

A loud scream erupts from the room.

EXT. GOTHAM CITY STREET – Raining

Two police officers peer down a manhole, the cover flung across the street. On either end of the block cop cars have erected a barricade.

CLOSE UP OF THE OFFICERS

The two officers, one rather portly the other rather straight laced, look at each other discussing the situation.

OFFICER #1 (the fatter one)
They say the thing, this Crocodile man, weighs 300 lbs, like a linebacker or something. Strong as an ox too. Did Gordon contact everyone’s favorite flying rodent?

OFFICER #2
Sure did…

OFFICER #1
(Shakes his head)
Dude’s always on a suicide mission.

Suddenly a shadowy figure drops behind them

OFFICER #2
It’s him!

The two turn.

CUT TO. NIGHTWING is standing casually behind the two men twirling two billy clubs in his hands.

NIGHTWING
Evening gentlemen, I understand Killer Croc is on the loose.
(pause – distress)
Oh my God, don’t look at me like that.

OFFICER #2
You’re not Batman

NIGHTWING
Yeah, I know…
(to self)
Jesus, I’m finding a new city.

ALL OF THE SUDDEN a jet is heard hovering above his head.

NIGHTWING
(Directed upwards)
Can’t ever let me do it alone, can you?…

Catwoman - Emily Blunt - Maybe as a quasi-love interest, but depends on how Nolan leaves her character.
Emily-Blunt-8.jpg

Vicki Vale - Christina Hendricks - Another female lead choice for the post-Nolan Batman. I think her *ahem* curves actually give her this incredible comic book look which can't be ignored.
christina-hendricks-hed.jpg

Oracle (Barbara Gordon) - Mary Elizabeth Winstead - Even though the DCnU changed her back, I think this is the way to present Barbara Gordon. I like the idea of having a crippled female as Batman associate. I wanted someone who could've handled either role.
mary_elizabeth_winstead_image.jpg

Hush - Simon Baker - Could be cool to introduce him as Thomas Elliot and save HUSH for later
2.jpg

Two-Face - Matt Bomer
White-Collar-Matthew-Bomer.jpg

Poison Ivy - Eva Green - I think Poison Ivy should be kind of skinny, just cause I see her as slighly granola girl-ish, so Eva Green is skinny but has lots of big...something....gah gah .... I ...........
Eva-Green-hot2.jpeg

The Ventriloquist - Bill Murray

Ra's Al Ghul - Viggo Mortensen

Too sweet looking

Now she's more Poison Ivy , based on her role in Firefly.

I can see that
Hush - Simon Baker - Could be cool to introduce him as Thomas Elliot and save HUSH for later

Yeah he does look the part
Two-Face - Matt Bomer
White-Collar-Matthew-Bomer.jpg
Possibly. Though I think the guy who plays Peter Burk from White Collar would be a better Two Face. Bomer might be an ok Batman too.
Poison Ivy - Eva Green - I think Poison Ivy should be kind of skinny, just cause I see her as slighly granola girl-ish, so Eva Green is skinny but has lots of big...something....gah gah .... I ...........
Eva-Green-hot2.jpeg
Now there's your Catwoman.
The Ventriloquist - Bill Murray
bill-murray2.jpg
Um no. For this role I would say more Paul Giamatti (Lady in the Water, Duets, Planet of the Apes)
Ra's Al Ghul - Viggo Mortensen
Viggo-Mortensens.jpg
I like this idea. But I'd rather see Viggo play Jonah Hex. He would have been so perfect . . .

Too sweet looking
I disagree with this. I always found she looks high-class ****ty:woot:
Now she's more Poison Ivy , based on her role in Firefly.
She'd be a good Ivy, I can't deny this.
Possibly. Though I think the guy who plays Peter Burk from White Collar would be a better Two Face. Bomer might be an ok Batman too.
I always saw Harvey Dent as somewhat Batman-ish, or at least Bruce Wayne-ish...especially in regards to duality. He's almost like Bruce without the tragedy of his parents, then he faces tragedy as an adult and goes nuts. I'd strictly use him as Two-Face in the next movie, no backstory, he's been done.
Now there's your Catwoman.
She reminds me of Arkham Aslyum's Ivy, but she'd be a solid Catwoman no doubt.
Um no. For this role I would say more Paul Giamatti (Lady in the Water, Duets, Planet of the Apes)
Oddly I would cite What About Bob? as proof that Bill Murray works for this role. Your suggestion, also good.
I like this idea. But I'd rather see Viggo play Jonah Hex. He would have been so perfect . . .
Agreed.

My entire opinion for the next Batman is they should construct an origin-less story. Most of these characters have been introduced, and re-introduced in multiple forms of media, and Batman has a large enough volume of stories that we simply don't need to see how his world came about anymore.

I am encouraged by your critiques though, do me a favor and tell me what you think of some of the rest of my castings above, and the script. I'd very much like to have some input. I really think "Established Bat-family" is the way to go in a future film.

I like Milo Ventimiglia for Red Hood (Jason Todd)

Whoever takes over for the next franchise, WB has to write it into their contract that they are required to sign Bryan Cranston for Gordon.

Bales voice was horrible and almost ruined it for many despite Nolans great work. they need an unknown, someone who actually looks like a man. A man with the same physical characteristics as the comics. Dark hair, blue eyes, strong jaw. Early east coast borderline Italian, the kind of man you used to see in the 40s that seem to be going extinct.
I thought the same thing!!

bruce wayne/batman-Jon Hamm(Mad Men)
alfred-michael gambon(Harry potter)
gordon-Bryan Cranston(Breaking bad)
Vicki Vale-Rose Byrne(Damages)
Villians
Riddler-Johnny Depp(Pirates of the Caribbean) or Jared Leto(American Psycho) he needs to be played as a psycho who makes killer traps like he will on batman arkham city not some weirdo making a mind controlling tv machine(batman forever)
Mad Hatter-Timothy Spall(The Kings Speech) he needs to be played as a killer who is mad about his wife alice cheating on him and goes around killin everyone in sight as the background villian like two face was in tdk
Penguin-Phillip Seymour Hoffman(Capote) he will be the main villian with the mad hatter as a background he will be an arms dealer who is in control of gothams underworld
Black Mask-Timothy Olyphant(Hitman) when the penguin goes down he will take over and be in charge of everthing in gotham
if they can do it right they need to put mr freeze in as he was in btas and killer croc would be nice to
