BvS The Batmobile Thread

I think it would be amazing if this production is able to completely prevent any spy pics of Bats and Supes on set. If I was one of the guys running the show, secrecy would be my #1 priority.

As much as I would hate the next two years, that's pretty much what I'd want to happen. Because let's face it, we know absolutely NOTHING now, but by the time March 2016 comes, we're going to know waaaay too much. It's going to be like Amazing Spider-Man 2.

I might be in agony during this drought, but one thing I've learned from The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises is, treasure these moments. We won't always have this. Between BvS and Interstellar, it's really a special time for me.

I'm with Roach, part of me would love and hate not seeing the spy pics. Hopefully WB can mostly keep a lid on things.

looks very nice from the outline, hopefully it's revealed asap

How do you all feel about what looks like the absence of the rocket booster?

Personally I don't mind. Even still it might just be concealed.

Almost entirely impossible if they have an "on location" shoot for any particular scene with either one of them in a scene.

We're seeing these guys sooner rather than later me thinks.

that thing sticking out the back could be a rocket booster

The spy pics that I think help build anticipation are the ones that hold no special meaning in terms of the plot, but still show some goods. The Batmobile driving down a road. Batman on a rooftop. Batman and Superman standing side by side in the middle of the street. Supporting characters walking out of the Daily Planet. But when you allow people to snap pics and film videos of entire, massive sequences that are shot on location (a la the big street fight in TDKR), it only leads to bad things. Too much analyzation of what's been seen, plot details leaked, crazy fans making up their mind about certain things before they see the actual footage as it was meant to be seen, etc.

So yeah, it's definitely cool to see some stuff as the production moves along, but too much means overexposure too soon, especially for the hardcore fans who live on forums like this. Plus, as filmmakers, they should want audiences to go into the film as fresh and possible, not knowing every detail of how things play out based on piecing together all the spy pics and vids.

Actually I think it's pretty visibly there, unless I'm wrong. I see it pretty clearly.

What a tease. I didn't see this coming.

It does seem similar to the Arkham batmobile, but we'll see when that sheet comes off!

I am seriously getting Formula One vibe from the car.

I can sort of see it now. On the train at the moment and had to zoom in heaps on my phone.

Carry on.

The rocket booster looks more like an exhaust.

Unless those two other things by the wheels are indeed the "rocket" boosters.

I really wouldn't be surprised if green screen is used for outside shots. Anything actually filmed outside could be the characters in their civilian clothes.

I really don't think they're going to let the hype get to its highest peak at the 2-year mark. They want the hype at its highest closer to the release date. Believe me, I KNOW I SOUND CRAZY when I say this, but I'm still not convinced we're seeing any suit reveals in 2014.

Stuff like the Batmobile, actors in their civilian clothes, like shots of Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, Diana Prince, Lex Luthor, combinations of them together, THAT'S the stuff for 2014. Not to mention the official title of the film, the official logo, the launch of the website. These are the piecemeal things we can get out of the way this year, and then they can get nuts in Summer 2015 at ComicCon... That would still be an entire YEAR away.
