Knowing the design aesthetics of the production designer? I would say that we are for seeing something different..
Unlike the stylized Anton Furst designs for Burton..
Unlike the designs by Nathan for Nolan..
A fresh take on the car, with a mix of practicality and style. I look forward to seeing the car almost as much as the Fleck' suit..

I wouldn't be disappointed by that, but I've been spoilt by the Tumbler. I need something half car, half tank.

No I don't want want a tank looking Batmobile this time. Time for a sleek looking car.

I agree with you there. But still, the tumbler and the Burtonmobile are definitely the only contenders for coolest Batmobile. I would love something that could stylistically fit in between the two. Functional/armored, yet sleek/aesthetically pleasing

It's going to be a beast, I can't wait to hear that engine roar.

No love for the '60s Batmobile? Whenever I have a conversation with people about what Batmobile I would most like to drive around, the Burtonmobile and the '60s Batmobile are the only ones that come up for me. Sure, the latter doesn't exactly offer a lot of cover and probably wouldn't be suited for a 21st century blockbuster superhero epic, but you have to admit it was a pretty sweet-looking ride.

The Tumbler, on the other hand, has never been a favourite of mine. It worked with Nolan's faux-"realistic" approach, but ideally the Batmobile should always be a damn cool car IMO, not a modified tank or military assault vehicle.

Enough with the damn "realism" (there are those pesky air quotes). It's time to embrace a more fantastical approach again.

i love and appreciate pretty much all the most essential elements of the 60s show...car included...
but i appreciate that car in a different way than i appreciate both the tumbler and the burtonmobile.

The 60s Batmobile is completely iconic and in a league of its own, but still i think the title for "coolest" would belong to the tumbler or the burtonmobile. the latter vehicles are much more appropriate for a modern day rendition of the Batmobile

Speaking of other vehicle's what about a Batplane or a Batboat?

True, and I think that's why the new Batmobile will ultimately be something of a hybrid between those two approaches -- the more gothic, comic book style of Burton and the methodical realism of Nolan.

That would actually reflect the MOS universe, because the film itself was both influenced by the "gritty realism" of Nolan's Batman trilogy while also including more fantastic, science fiction elements like aliens with cool armour and phallic, H.R. Giger-esque spaceships.

If this is a seasoned Batman, I'd be up for batcave vehicle cameos for sure. I think it's a given the batplane will be used at some point given Superman and the Justice League are coming.

That's good point.

I don't know why but I want to see a BAtboat.

My ideal Batmobile that "transforms" would be a boat, sub and car. Heck it could even fly too I suppose. I mean why let James Bond and Coulson have all the fun?
