Oh yes... you know where this is going....

That's right. It's TRUE!
It seems unlikely, but it's possible that it's an escape "pod" of sorts, hence the term "Batpod". Think about it: Batman has that forward-slung driving position in the Tumbler in BATMAN BEGINS. Maybe this is why, and it wasn't just for the "cool factor". Maybe the wheels "transform" or something, a la what happened with the Batmobile when it became the Batmissle in BATMAN RETURNS. It's possible that when The Joker blows up The Batmobile, Batman escapes by a hair before the Tumbler blows up, and a chase of some sort ensues.
I agree. But wow im totally not diggin this whole batpod coming out from the tumbler thing. Why cant it just be its own seperate vehicle?! And the batpod coming out from the tumbler dosent even look like the batpod, looks like a bike. More and more facts that I dont like are coming up true. Im almost on the fence on how good TDK will beIt'll be interesting to see how they implement the Batpod into the Tumbler, if that toy design stays true to form in the movie as well.
One of the biggest reasons why no one bought the theory that the 2 were together, was because it was clearly impossible for the batpod to be anywhere inside that vehicle. One only needs to look at BB and the concept designs to see why.
Makes sense I guess... but "batpod?" Ok its a escape pod from the tumbler but please nolan dont call it the batpod! I'd rather it be refered to as the "escape pod" when lucius is telling bruce about itIt seems unlikely, but it's possible that it's an escape "pod" of sorts, hence the term "Batpod". What if it falls from the skyI dont care how the batpod comes to be. I just want to see a kick ass Batman movie.
What if it falls from the sky
but its impossible even for a batman & robin type of movie, its imposible for a 200% fantastic campy movie. Here we go again... people saying its not possible (or shouldn't be possible) because of production designs of the Tumbler, and reality, and blah blah blah and thats their argument. Well the "reality" is that $160 million summer blockbusters and comic book movies ARE NOT REALISTIC.
I don't care who's directing.
I dont' care what they say they're trying to do.
I don't care how little sense it makes.
This is the kind of stuff that runs Hollywood. PLOTS THAT SELL TOYS.
Yes it's sad for the purists, yes it's stupid and gimmicky and lame and a cop out for marketing purposes, but that's just how it is. Everyone sells out when the film budget gets high enough.

this is not the same.Yes, it's probably impossible (like alien robots that transform into cars). Nevertheless, why not enjoy it?
this is not the same.
they were the main characters. before you start watching the movie you need to understand that this is what you gonna watch. a movie about alien roborts who transform into cars. plus the size of the robots made sense. plus they had parts from real cars.
nolan himself said that he wanted a high reality and that he wanted us that we belive that those things(every bat-equipment) could work.
if its a new tumbler(which it 100% isnt) then i would be ok with it.Fair enough. However, I'm going to utilize the overused but classic argument: Let's see how it works. It's thin and basic enough to be a part of the Tumbler, plus perhaps we'll see the differences in the TDK Tumbler in the beginning of the film, and we'll be prepared for the Pod.
if its a new tumbler(which it 100% isnt) then i would be ok with it.
plus the tires of the batpod are not like the tumblers.
so 8 tires in the tumbler?
Has anyone thought that maybe Bruce has put a good deal of money into building new equipment for him to use as Batman? and as a result they have re-designed the Tumbler to include a seperate vehicle and new weapons?
Actually, that's the exact way I see it for the TDK Tumbler.
What I care about and want to see is a good story with great character relationships. If they want to have a cheap gimmick to sell toys in the middle of the action sequence, I'll just sit there and eat my popcorn and listen to all the little kids cheer.
