is this DEVIL WILL DO IT scene inside the crashed scout ship? Looks like it, with a floating Keelor "type" robot and all.
The lightning shot benind the Superman statue looks to be the ship?
If so, Why didn't Superman take the ship and hide it?
Why is he standing behind Lex so calm like...

It looks like the scout ship which unaccountably was left at the Metropolis crash site rather than Superman getting it out of the military's hands (it will prove to have been dreadfully poor judgment to leave it there, I think).
As to why Superman is idly standing by as Lex apparently creates Doomsday, that is a great question. I think it may yet be a clone of Superman. But if not, I hope the reason is not that as Lex is holding Lois hostage, or that Superman is mind-controlled.
) while it's more oblique to say that taking it away could lead to shenanigans down the road. What ever shenanigans it would be WITHOUT the K-tech to make it all that much worse. As I said though, I can see the other side, I just wish it were written differently because I think the stigma, wrongly so, of Superman being childishly naive, is still with the character and writing it so that he's much more insightful and proactive would help ease that stigma. Let's just say the last thing I want is a scene of Batman lecturing Superman that he shouldn't have allowed humanity to have Zod's body and the K-tech.
