Black Panther's box office run was amazing. That Saturday to Sunday drop was something else.
That was just unprecedented. I could see EG maybe getting close to that but BP is likely going to keep that record.Black Panther's box office run was amazing. That Saturday to Sunday drop was something else.
Anyhoo, the number crunchers at BOT are saying it's unlikely to hit the 160m mark, they say deadline is factoring in a much softer drop than what MCU usually gets. They say 150-155m is much more likely.
This is what the BOT posters are projecting:If it ends up grossing $63.5M (like they 're predicting) on Friday and adding the Thursday previews for a $84M total OD, then even with a 2.0 internal multiplier (which i think is on the low end) it would go on to make $168M OW
BP fell 13% on Sat from full Friday. don't think CM can better that. A more realistic/conservative Sat drop would be 17%-18%
63.5
52.1 -18%
35.9 -31%
151.5M total

Is that good? Lol @Silver Surfer
Awesome! One more big thing in its favour.
Great legs incoming!
It was quite unbelievable watching it unfold and keep smashing what had been said a few hours before.Black Panther's box office run was amazing. That Saturday to Sunday drop was something else.
Time to haunt Troll dreams![]()
Apparently there was a youtuber who said he would eat his own s*** if CM opened to 150 or more. He was convinced it would open to less than 80m due to the 'backlash'...
Heading into the weekend, estimates on the international debut were ranging from $180M-$210M+. It will go well higher than the latter figure.
