US will most likely top the weekend, I would think. Or I would be very surprised if it doesn't.

But I wouldn't expect it to impact Captain Marvel all that much. Additional releases mean a lot less after the second weekend.

It's nice to have that second weekend completely free as breathing room, but after that, it's much more a question of repeat viewings, and people who don't rush to the theater to see something.

No question of that! It made $18.4m worldwide on Monday and needs $20.8m more to get to $800m. It's going to be way in excess of $800m after 3 more weekdays! I think expectations need to be revised upwards yet again. This thing is making big bucks outside of US and China.
