Captain Marvel The Captain Marvel box office prediction thread

Some trajectories from similar openings if CM makes the same amount of money they did after weekend 3:

Guardians 2: 89m from this point on: 321 + 89 = 410m finish.

Hunger Games: 106m from this point on: 321 + 106 = 427m finish.

Jurassic World 2: 85m from this point on: 321 + 85 = 406m finish.
Nice! So it’s great even in the worst case of those 3.

I'm curious to see if it being Spring Break for a lot of schools will help at the box office this week

It couldn't hurt. High schools in my area are just now getting out for Spring Break and colleges/universities on the quarter system are also now off.

While I'm glad for the numbers, and I enjoyed the movie, I didn't think it was "fantastic', so I do find these holds amazing.
If I were to rank all the MCU movies, it would probably end up somewhere in the middle of the pack.
Just my two cents.

It's not about it being "Middle of the pack" or "Mediocre" There's more to it then that

The two AMC theatres near me have like four massive stadium size screens and the rest are like half that size. This was on one of the bigger ones.

Oh wow. It wasn’t the case with our theater, it was all about Us this weekend.

Us fared twice as much better than Get Out did over here (it was released very late, e.g. torrents had been out a while already) this past weekend but failed to overtake Captain Marvel, which had 652 more viewers with three less theater rooms. Topped 110K viewers as well.

I'm not surprised, well deserved. Happy for Peele and Lupita. CM didn't make it to 35, but its close at least. The drop was good, considering the over performance of Us.
I am sure that CM went well over 35 sometime today.

After last weekend's 49.6% drop, CM is over 320m domestic and 911m WW so it's passed Thor:Ragnarok Dom and WW. Next in the Marvel Universe is Guardians 1 at 333m Domestic and Guardians 2 at 389m domestic. Spidey Homecoming is 334m Dom. I have a feeling it won't be long until all 3 fall. Then onto IM3 and CW.

What are the predictions for next weekend's drop, 48-50% again or better? The Hunger Games fell only 36% it's 4th weekend. I'll be conservative and guess about 45%, so about 18.8 m total? That would place it at just over 352m after the weekend (day 24). Bring on the crystal ball predictions!
Edit: That's if it follows THG during the week.

From box office theory, actuals for international came in 2.1m higher. Overseas at 590,916,562 now. I hope at the end of it's run CM gets to 700m international.
