Captain Marvel The Captain Marvel box office prediction thread

Foreign audiences, particularly Asian ones, love spectacle and Aquaman has that in spades.

They also aren't going to be as upset about some of the less than stellar acting and dialogue because they can't understand the language.

Crapformers: Age of SuckStinkShun....what a load of....uh...well...you know...

But, hey, hey, hey....let's not stereotype....

I kinda liked Aquaman. I didn't think Jason would pull it off, but he did a better job than I thought he would. Admittedly, my expectations were low, but I've seen way, way worse SH movies.

The biggest thing I notice about the foreign and domestic numbers for the top movies is Aquaman. I just don't understand the love this movie got out side of north America. It wasn't horrible but IMO far inferior to a lot of these movies. The foreign audience should have given more love to Into the Spiderverse!
It seems like global audiences (outside of Japan) still only turn out in seriously large numbers for animation that they feel is primarily aimed at kids like Disney/Pixar stuff.

Endgame tickets on sale and CM passes $1B on the same day.

I actually loved Aquaman. I'm also fully aware that the dialogue and acting was often subpar. Those flaws however couldn't stop me from having a big stupid smile on my face the entire time I was watching it though.

Also of note, if you are trying to buy Endgame tickets on Fandango right now, good luck. It's a complete sh!tshow.

I've been queuing for an hour already for Vue (in England).

354M after Sunday was on the high side of where I thought it would be. Any Monday numbers?

Comparisons:

THG: 1.5m
IM3: 1.5m
GotG2: 2.2m

So GOTG2 made another $50 after 25 days of release which would put CM at $408M domestically minimum. So are we looking at $1.1B just under CW & Aquaman?
