Paul Rudd gets cast as Antman in his late 40s ( he is now 50), but god forbid Catwoman actress is 3-5 years older than Batman actor. lol

Yeah, seriously, it’s not a big deal at all. I almost want Reeves to cast an actress in her forties now.

They were ruled out because Batman is supposed to look and be relatively young.

Catwoman, as far as we know, doesn’t have that restriction. And a woman even a decade older than Pattinson could do a trilogy. Men in their fifties and sixties (Liam Neeson, Josh Brolin, etc.) are action stars; women deserve the same opportunity.

Since when has Selina Kyle NOT been a peer of Batman/Wayne? Young Batman means young Catwoman. It's that simple.

I don't know. If this were any other character, even Poison Ivy I wouldn't really care but I've always imagined Selina having this youthful playful energy to her that plays against Batman's estoicism and "play by the rules" style because that's what she comes across in the comics. Not saying an older actress can't do that but her being older doesn't really feel necessary to me when there's not exactly a lack of good actresses in their late twenties or early thirties.

This isn't about personal opinions, though. This is about the merits of their dynamic in the comics. CAN/COULD Selina be older than Batman? Yes. Should and will she? No and most probably not.

When they are looking for chemistry reads to match Pattinson, they are going to cast Catwoman to match him. The characters who have the closest relationship (especially the female lead) to Wayne are going be cast around Pattinson, they are going to build the world off of him

I'm sure someone applied the same kind of logic for Lois Lane actress and we got an older actress. All I'm saying is that we don't know for sure. I fail to see Pattinson not having chemistry with Eva Green for example. Hard not to. I'm just not ruling anyone out at the moment.

But, I do admit to being biased.

With Reeves in charge, why not Keri Russel, lol, she's hot.

If they get Monicca Bellucci to pair up with RP, the opening box office will probably explode thanks to RP fans and their babies, MB fans with their nostalgia (no babies for the geeks) and anyone who want to let the imagination run wild around the world

20 actually . And again. I get the argument that it doesn't matter if a woman is older, heck, every single relationship I've had is with someone 2-5 years older than me. But I don't think it's necessary to get an older actress for Selina when the character doesn't really require it as it always has this youthful energy to her and there's a lot of young talent that could play her.
