The Catwoman/Selina Kyle Casting Thread - Part 2

She doesn’t look the same as she does in The Witch but she still looks ten years younger than Pattinson.

Ironically I think I would personally feel less concerned about casting a younger Catwoman if it were someone like say Florence Pugh. She's the same age as Anya Taylor Joy, but has a more mature vibe and look to her. Granted, that's almost certainly moot point anyway since she's in Black Widow.

Plus they're probably going to cast someone a little older for the part anyway.

I don't mind a Catwoman that's 6-10 years younger than Bruce, worked with Bale and Hathaway.

To be honest I have no clue whatsoever as to who they're gonna ultimately cast since there's so, so many picks out there but shes's my dark horse pick that I'll keep defending in the off chance she does get cast so I'm the only one that gets bragging rights lol. My stance is that if she really wanted the role and fought to get it, she could get very close to getting it and even get it.

I mean, if she winds up inheriting the mantle from ScarJo, that's one thing- but isn't that film a prequel?

Either way, if we have to talk about potential candidates under the age of 25, Pugh is the only one that comes to mind right now that I think would crush it and feel more like a contemporary of Battinson onscreen, rather than a whole decade younger.

Yeah, I don't think Pugh would be my first pick for the role in general here, but she's the only actress in that younger side of the age range I can see in the part and feel comfortable with alongside Pattinson.

My man's here is cool with a 6-10 year gap going backwards, but kicks and screams at the notion of an actress older than Battinson by 3 or 4.

If they weren't willing to cast an actor over 33 for Batman, they're not willing to cast an actress over 33 for Catwoman especially if the age range according to the casting call is 20-30 years old. The idea of Rebecca Ferguson, Eva Green, Olivia Wilde or Emily Blunt in a tight black outfit is as exciting to me as anybody else but that's more than likely not going to happen, that's why I argue against those choices... why get excited over something that's not gonna happen? lol

It's not ideal and Pugh isn't my first choice for the role anyway, but if it were to happen, I wouldn't complain personally. Her acting range is ridiculously impressive already, so if nothing else, it'd mean we would be in for an interesting take on Selina.

Keri Russell has as much chance of getting cast in this movie as Selina as Jon Hamm had a change of getting cast as Batman before Pattinson was announced.

If Zack wanted to use an eccentric silicon valley type as the blueprint for Lex Luthor, it definitely should have been Steve Jobs and not Mark Zuckerberg... Fassbender as a Steve Jobs-esque Luthor would be incredible.

Fassbender as a proper Lex Luthor would be awesome. And Ryan Gosling should be Green Arrow, not Joker.
