I have two more quick questions.

1. For those of you who have read the original CW comic mini series, was the movie better then the comic?

2. Was the movie more off an adaption of either (a) the Avengers government regulation story from the late 70's/early 80's (which was revisited again in the early 90's when they got a UN charter and the 00's when they got the US government charter back) (b) the CW comic or (c) an amalgamation of the 2 stories?.

So was Spider-Man in that shot from the super bowl where Team Iron Man is aligned and ready to fight?

Thanks dude. How does he fair against Cap?

Also does Viz leave earth at the end?

Thanks!

Pretty well.
Spidey is definitely stronger than Cap, But Cap outmaneuvers/fights him.
Kid's got a lot to learn yet.
But all told, Spidey fairs very well.
As far as I know Vision is still around.
(Where is all this Vision leaving earth talk coming from, out of curiosity ?)

So do we ever see Tom Holland in the suit, sans his mask, in this film? Or was ALL of Spider-Man's scenes just a mixture of CGI doubles and voice over work from Holland?

And finally, for those that have seen the film, does this film cement Cap (in your eyes, if he wasn't already) as one of the greatest heroes in the MCU world?

He has it half-off at the end of the airport fight after he was swatted away by Giant Man and Tony tells him to leave but he puts it on right away. And I already thought he was the greatest hero in the MCU.

1. What is Sharon's exact relationship to Peggy?
2. Do Steve and Sharon have romantic chemistry?
3. Cap's shield performed awesomely in Winter Soldier? How well does it perform in this movie?

1. Sharon is Peggy's niece. She states it at Peggy's funeral along with relaying why she kept that secret; Aunt Peggy's shadow and whatnot. She shows a lot of respect.

2. A bit, but it's kind of a spot scene; not drawn out over the course of the movie. It's clear that she'd be wearing his varsity jacket in high school. They make smoochies (which gets a funny reaction of encouragement from Bucky and Falcon... and a not so amused response from Steve). Funny stuff. :funny:

3. I thought the spatial awareness used with the shield was as good as it's ever been. Some really nice angles of attack; mostly early on. IIRC, Spidey even comments as such during the airport fight. Plus, you get that moment from the comics of Cap fending off Tony's repulsor attack with the shield, which was just awesome to look at and generated a lot of applause.

1) Who does Tony say this line to? "I was wrong about you, the whole world was wrong about you."
2) Who wins the last battle and how?
3) Mid-credits scene?

It was better than the comic. The comic wasn't that good tbh.

It was more of its own thing with elements from the comic

I read that Natasha said a source told her that the Steve's team was going to the airport. We know who the source is?

The next scene switched to Sharon on the side of the road with Steve and his boys. I thought it mean it was going to Sharon but she's never seen again after that bit and the person who gave Nat the info is never mentioned.

Sharon fans probably would have hated it but I think it would have given some purpose and emotional meat to her stuff in the move. As it is other than providing info she's very tangential and the kiss is even more out of left field than the Ant-Man kiss but at least this one had comic payoff.

1) Didn't happen the version we saw.
2) Cap gets Iron Man prone on the ground and disables his arc reactor with a two-handed shield strike. He and Bucky then leave.
3) Bucky voluntarily goes back into cryofreeze since it's too dangerous for him to be active while he can still be triggered as a sleeper agent. Cap tells BP that since they're allied, people may look to come after them, to which BP replies... "Let them try." You get a pan shot of the Wakandan jungle where their base is, including a pretty wicked shot of a panther statue.

He's a supporting character. It doesn't matter if his home base in the farm, he was only there on screen as long as the other Avengers were there as well. He can still do his missions like he did in Civil War. Making him a horrible father who abandons his motherless kids isn't going to make any more people care about him as a character, it would just make him a scumbag.

It's fine you want more but as a character as he exists in the MCU he now has a backstory and a family that they are not going to hand wave away and pretend didn't happen. Best case scenario for the version of Hawkeye you want is they do a Netflix series with a younger actor that takes place in the 1990s but then he'd be part of SHIELD, not the Avengers.

So what I have been saying is I don't want him to be a bit player every single time he is in a movie. I also think the whole family thing was a dull storyline and they need to give his character more flavor. I think a major upheaval could change his outlook/personality. I know you disagree- you are the lucky one because you are happy with what we are getting. I will most likely never get what I want, but doesn't stop me from wanting it.

Quoted for the sad truth.

This is why I think that they should reveal that the Hawkeye we've seen in the movies is not Clint, but his older brother Barney. They could hire a younger to play the "real" Clint/Hawkeye. Hell, since this is Disney, they can get one of those ex Disney show kid stars to play Clint (like one of the twins from ZACK AND CODY).

Why is that whenever someone doesn't like the on-screen version of a character, they think the "real" version is out there? It's mandarin all over again. Sure the one-shot said there was a real mandarin but the chances of us seeing him are slim to none.

Yeah. I'm sorry if some folks don't like MCU Hawkeye but I seriously don't think anyone at Marvel or Disney gives enough of a crap to pull a drastic overhaul like that.

It's like the people in the GOTG threads complaining about how the sequel needs to reveal Drax used to be human. It's a detail not many people care about.

hum That's interesting. Thanks.
It would be an interesting twist if it was Sharon who gave the info to Nat.

I don't want to think too much in this kiss. I've read that she's there to help and kiss Steve. What is surprising because I didn't expect Russos would go to it with a female character after what they did in TWS.

I really liked Hawkeye this go around.
You could tell the guy was getting on and hitting Stark's nerves during the imprisonment scene. It rang true to the character.
Besides, the guy is a supporting character.
Changing his backstory (having a family) isn't that big a deal. I like that he's the grizzled veteran of the group.
And I have most of his solo comic outings over the years.
I get it.
But if this film interpretation sucked, I'd be up in arms.
Besides, for what is first and foremost a CAPTAIN AMERICA focused film, we got great and interesting versions of most of these characters, Clint included.
