Have we figured out what is the 2nd extra scene is about?

It's Peter fiddling with his webshooters, and accidentally pressing something, before Aunt May comes in. They talk briefly and she leaves, and then Peter gets out the webshooters again, and we see that he'd turned on the Spidey signal, which he projects onto his ceiling

So, we now know Howard improved on the super soldier serum. Tony has perfected mechanical and missile based weaponry. Also cracked extremis. Gotta think that Lang's capture caused Ross/Tony to have access to Pym Particles, which Tony could probably effortlessly reverse engineer. Hmm...wonder if future movies will explore the possibilities now at Tony's fingertips.

That's a completely different field of science than the one Tony has mastered. Tony is a genius, but he we've seen in Avengers films that he consults other people when it comes to things he doesn't understand.

Great film!

My main quibble is what Vision was doing during the airport battle. Vision's abilities are far and above pretty much every other Avenger with the possible exception of Scarlet Witch. But, although we saw Scarlet Witch battling others, we didn't see much of Vision. Was he holding back because he felt conflicted about being involved? Or did I somehow just miss most of what he was doing despite his colourful costume? Other than phasing through Giant Man, I don't recall Vision having any major moments in the airport battle.

Otherwise, it all worked pretty well for me. The kiss between Steve and Sharon seemed a little out of place. It was almost like Steve only became interested once he knew that she was related to Peggy, which is a little ... disturbing. If the movie earned a kiss, it should have been between Steve and Bucky before Bucky went back to sleep. Or maybe Steve will awaken Bucky with a kiss like in Sleeping Beauty in a future film.

They also seemed to be pretty hard on Scarlet Witch. At no point do I recall Wanda even mentioning the fact that her brother died and her entire city destroyed in the battle of Sokovia. Not to mentioned her imprisonment at the hands of Baron Strucker. Sure, 11 people died thanks to Crossbones, but she saved hundreds in the marketplace. Not to mention the fact that the Avengers also stopped Crossbones from taking and releasing the biological weapon. I guess they needed to wear Wanda down emotionally to explain her unwillingness to unleash the full extent of her powers when in battle. Otherwise, she'd be a one woman army, even with her limited abilities in the MCU.

Yea i think vision and wanda both were holding back, we did see how strong she was when she pushed vision deep undereground but they were definetely holding back during the fight, probably the same reason hulk and thor were not in the film some of them are just way too powerful.

Can anyone remember if the Right to Choose scene was still in the film? I'm drawing a blank on it but I can't believe they'd release a clip that wasn't in the film.

I thought it must have been. I was thinking earlier and suddenly was like, was that scene even in the film?

True, I'm sure Vision was holding back but he did do a few big things. He got in front of panther and saved him from a bus, he played a big part in knocking ant man in giant form down and he also shot down the airport control tower to block cap and bucky from reaching the quinjet (got denied by scarlet witch but almost worked)He also shot warmachine down with 1 blast which shows how powerful he is even if by accident

I agree, i feel the sharon and steve thing wasnt well developed enough

Yup, I wish they had developed more on her but to be fair, she did get a decent amount of screen time and there are just so many characters. In terms of her "house arrest" by Tony, I think he did it because he was partly scared by her and partly for her own good, like what vision said, to allow the public to get a better impression of her. They also did it too start the war. If I'm not wrong, the tipping point that really kickstarted the war between tony and steve was once steve heard that Tony had put Wanda under house arrest

Did anyone else love the score in this one? The main theme cue especially.

I imagine VISION was holding back, plus whilst he is really powerful, you can still give him the runaround by being agile and smart enough.

This movie was so amazing :hmr: I can't decide whether it's better than TWS overall but there are moments in this movie and stand out as some of the greatest moments in the genre, it's just an outstanding film. I have a few problems with the third act but other than that I think the movie is great.

I thought it worked well in the movie but I was underwhelmed because it didn't stood out as much as Jackman's previous work on TWS and First Class. That being said, I've been listening to the full score on Spotify and it's growing on me, the music I still don't like is the one used during the airport fight.

Just got back from seeing it and bloody hell it was awesome!! Easily my favourite Marvel film to date. Everyone was on song, Spidey was terrific and I loved Black Panther. Easy 9/10, maybe 9.5.

Everyone is saying how they're debating on this film or TWS as their top MCU movie. Does that mean it will be my #1 movie 100%? Because I didn't like the Winter Soldier that much lol.

What if it's more of Winter Soldier, that would mean it wouldn't even be in your top 5 :o

Civil War is #1 for me. The next 4 are all interchangeable.

So I'm thinking that now it's heavily possible that Steve Rogers is going to die sacrificing himself to defeat Thanos in Infinity War Pt. 2 and the end credits sequence will be Bucky being revived from his cryo sleep to take the mantle.

which means that bucky will not be in any part of IW?

On a side note, bucky is still a wanted man..no way he will go from being unfreeze from his cyro sleep straight to being cap am..

Maybe. I can't see them freezing him like that for no reason, other than to have him sit out a few films and bring him back when it get's the biggest reaction.

Can anyone expand on the Spider Man logo we saw in the post-credits scene? While he was sitting on the bed. Does it hint on a possible storyline in the upcoming solo Spider Man movie?

Vision is alongside Thor and Hulk as a major powerhouse (Wanda too). I hope in the Infinity War movies we get to see how truly badass he is. He hasn't had a real "wow" moment so far in terms of his abilities and powers.

Exactly. Hulk could've taken down Giant Man with one punch like he did with the leviathan. Thor too with a powered up lightning blast.

It's obvious that Vision is a huge problem for the writers so they basically just tried to make us forget him during the fight. Now they don't have to worry about him until Infinity War when he'll get the stone ripped out of his head.

As much as people want the Defenders involved in Infinity Wars, I don't know that it would work well... On the other hand, where would they be when the crisis happens and Thanos comes to earth?

What they should do is either have a season or at least a couple of episodes dedicated to them doing something that coincides with Infinity War's events.

Loved the film to bits! So freaking good! Only gripe was that I wish Tony was angry when he read Cap's letter because it went from him wanting to kill cap to looking like he forgave him really quickly. also surprised that no one died

Lonnie And Dia having great tempered by a nagging suspicion that there was no way the Russos could balance everything, Captain America: Civil War was yet another triumph for Marvel. It's pulling in big money already on the back of astonishing critical performance that has seen it widely heralded as among the MCU's very best and it was such an impressively dense story that we've now got even more narrative threads to tie in to Phase 3.If it weren't for Marvel's notorious forward planning, you'd actually be forgiven for thinking that some of the implications of Civil War's ending would require their own movies. But then slates change, and Marvel do have two mystery unnamed movies up their sleeves yet, so it's possible there's a few surprising twists in their tale yet to be revealed.
