As much as people want the Defenders involved in Infinity Wars, I don't know that it would work well... On the other hand, where would they be when the crisis happens and Thanos comes to earth?

While the Avengers take on Thanos, I'd just like to see a few scenes of the Defenders just saving as many people as they can on the streets. Basically what the Avengers did in the first Movie. That would be enough for me.

So the controversial ending the russos talk about is the splitting of the avengers team? am I reading it correctly?

Is that really a controversial ending?

Hopefully we see Vision and Scarlet Witch really let loose in IW.

Nope. It was something I expected.
Controversial would be Cap die, kills Zemo or go to the jail. well, he is a fugitive now.

Yeah, the ending wasn't really controversial at all. Okay the Avengers are split, but there's a very clear way for them to get back together once Giant Purple Face turns up. I don't think the team will ever be the same again, but nothing was done here that is earth shattering to the MCU moving forward. I'd say the after effects of TWS were actually larger than the ones in CW.

He's going to crush Vision's head in his hands. :o

Ok how about if we view it this way; cap left the cap shield behind. The cap shield is sort of like a symbol. The fact steve drop it and left it behind also kinda means he left the manthle of captain America.

Personally to me, he move on from that role. He feels that he couldn't uphold that title of Cap.
Just like in the comics where he abandon his cap role and took on thw nomad role. Would that be considered controversial?

Maybe that is what the russo bro is trying to get across?

So I'm thinking that now it's heavily possible that Steve Rogers is going to die sacrificing himself to defeat Thanos in Infinity War Pt. 2 and the end credits sequence will be Bucky being revived from his cryo sleep to take the mantle.

What would Bucky have done to earn or merit the mantle at that point? Wake up?

I dont think its too controversial yes they are split up, but in caps letter to tony he did basicly said if they need them (them being those on caps side) they would come back and help.

I love the visual of the shield itself.when it falls.
It's dirty. It's scarred.(claw marks)
It's the perfect representation of Cap up to this point.
I thought it poignant.

Maybe while Thanos is cutting down humanity for being weak in the face of his immense power, Cap gives a speech about how we'll fight to the bitter end, intercut with a montage showing characters like the Defenders, the Agents of SHIELD, and others either saving people on the streets or fighting the invaders.

Give me exactly that. I don't need everyone to get a lot of focus, except for the core group. Just a montage, of every existing MCU hero to date, fighting the hordes of Thanos and saving lives, would be more than enough to make me drool.

HELL YES! And the Russos always deliver so I have no doubt they'll do something just like that.

How well did Falcon hold his own against War Machine

I hope it was not already answered and if it was I apologize but how does Steve know Peggy died? Who notifies him or is it how the movie opens?

Thing is Cap is in Wakanda during the mid-credits. They can easily produce another shield for him. So the idea he left it behind is sort've watered down to me.

Immediately after the "Right to Choose" clip you may have seen, he gets a brief text notifying him.

I don't recall them fighting as directly as we were led to believe but, generally, his upgraded tech is impressive. He's no lightweight anymore.

The Redwing drone is possibly one of my favorite things they introduced in the film.

During the scene where they all discuss what to do ("Right to choose" clip), he gets a text saying "She's gone. In her sleep.", after which he takes off and has some alone time in the staircase.
