Well, that's what happens in the comics. Iron Man does not match up well with Cap, frankly. At range with repulsors, Cap can just block with his shield. Up close, Iron Man is stronger, but Cap is faster and his martial arts skills are pretty unbeatable. Using the edge of Cap's shield against Iron Man's armor and Cap is simply going to win that fight the majority of the time.

Oh, please. Steve could only ever defeat Tony after Vision trashed his armour.

Otherwise, their fight would have ended like the one from the first time around. Fighting fair, Tony destroys Steve.

That fight wasn't exactly the most fair either seeing as Tony caught Captain America off guard and slammed him through a building (Steve didn't even have his shield at the time). So Steve was pretty defenseless in that fight as well.

Two against one isn't exactly fair too. You show a dude how his parents were murdered and then beat him up with the help of said murderer when he's clearly seeing red and not thinking straight. Slamming through a building may not hurt as much as this does

I know its not that important to some, but the fact that Tony and Pepper are on a break is actually ruining the movie for me. I was really looking forward to seeing them together again and now that they've resulted to this, it just leaves me sad and disappointed. I'll still go see the film but it won't be the same for me.

Eh, Tony catching Steve off guard is nowhere near as "unfair" as Tony basically being trapped in an armour coffin with no means to defend himself.

Shield or not, Steve's still got his fighting skills, strength and agility. Tony couldn't move at all.

We should probably all just admit that the Civil War comics storyline was a very poorly written comic, with characters acting completely nonsensical. That comic pretty much turned Stark into a supervillain, and that's not cool.

Well Cap is a lot stronger in the films than in the comics so that's a two way street.

I don't see that at all. Thor and Hulk can handily beat Captain America, but Iron Man just doesn't have the right power set nor the nigh-invulnerability to defeat Cap easily. Captain America IS going to hit you and he is going to be a very difficult guy to get a hit on. Thor and the Hulk can take some sharp licks against them from the edge of Cap's shield and shrug it off, but Iron Man's armor is not going to be so tough against it.

Agreed, there is no way Cap should beat Iron Man.

In the comics, Iron Man has bested Cap each and every time they've fought, except of course when Vision intervened. And he especially wasn't going to beat him with the Extremis upgrade or with the comic Bleeding Edge armor.

In these movies, Iron Man should beat him with ease.

I think what it comes down to is Cap being an actual fighter and Tony being more of a scientist. He can fight if need be without the suit, but Cap was trained to do this. It comes down to avoiding Tony's attacks, which I think is how he counters it.

1. Is there any mention (Visual or verbal) of T'Challa's/BP's enhanced abilities? Is he just a regular guy with a vibranium suit, or is it known if he's eaten the heart-shaped herb/was otherwise enhanced, like in the comics?

2. Does the movie show Stark "suiting up" in the Bleeding Edge armor? If so, does the armor form around his body, as hinted at with his hand (when he stops Bucky's bullet)?

Umm, Vision hijacked Tony's armor, he was frozen. That's the only reason why he was able to win.
