The Clinton Thread II - Part 3

Today we learned Hillary allowed a MAID with no clearance, access to classified information. Including the Presidential DAILY Briefing. You pull that **** as anyone else, your ass is going to jail. Is it so shocking what Comey did today? It's not like he was the head of the coup. That was well established.

Who honestly thinks they reviewed all 650,000 in a week?

We have a Trump surrogate, Giuliani - a man who close connections to the FBI and worked with Comey - saying that he has been getting information from FBI agents.

A few days before the leak he bragged that something big was coming out. Then Comey sent that letter. For over a week, he made no statements of clarification despite calls from both political campaigns and people in the congress.

If he's not trying to subvert this election then he is handling this in the most irresponsible fashion imaginable and in a way that makes it look like he is colluding with the Trump campaign. Even in the best case scenario, it implies that the director of the FBI has lost control over an investigation in his Bureau, and that agents are trying to influence the election.

USA Today - Hillary Clinton: Why you should vote for me
Hillary Clinton

Closing arguments before Election Day.

In January, America is going to have a new president. Things are going to change — that much is certain. The question is, what kind of change are we going to have?

We can build an economy that works for everyone, or stack the deck even more for those at the top.

We can keep America safe through strength and smarts — or turn our backs on our allies, and cozy up to our adversaries.

We can come together to build a stronger, fairer America, or fear the future and fear each other.

Everything I’ve done, as first lady, senator, or secretary of State, I’ve done by listening to people and looking for common ground, even with people who disagree with me. And if you elect me on Tuesday, that’s the kind of president I’ll be.

Here are four priorities for my first 100 days — issues I’ve heard about from Americans all over our country.

First, we will put forward the biggest investment in new jobs since World War II. We’ll invest in infrastructure and manufacturing to grow our economy for years to come. We’ll produce enough renewable energy to power every home in America within a decade. We’ll cut red tape for small businesses and make it easier for entrepreneurs to get the credit they need to grow and hire — because in America, if you can dream it, you should be able to build it. We’ll pay for it all by asking the wealthy, Wall Street and big corporations to finally pay their fair share. And this commitment will go far beyond the first 100 days. Creating more good jobs with rising incomes will be a central mission of my presidency.

Second, we will introduce comprehensive immigration reform legislation. The last president to sign comprehensive immigration reform was Ronald Reagan, and it was a priority for George W. Bush. I’m confident that we can work across the aisle to pass comprehensive reform that keeps families together and creates a path to citizenship, secures our border, and focuses our enforcement resources on violent criminals. This is the right thing to do, and it will also grow our economy.

Third, to break the gridlock in Washington, we need to get secret, unaccountable money out of our politics. It’s drowning out the voices of the American people. So within my first 30 days, I will introduce a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United. We should be protecting citizens’ rights to vote, not corporations’ rights to buy elections.

Fourth, we need to get started on end-to-end criminal justice reform. Too many people have been sent away for far too long for non-violent offenses. I believe our country will be stronger and safer when everyone has respect for the law and everyone is respected by the law.

There’s so much more we need to do together, and we certainly won’t get it all done in the first 100 days. But we’re going to roll up our sleeves and get to work for American families — and I’ll never, ever quit.

I want to be president for all Americans — Democrats, Republicans and independents; Americans of every race, faith and background.

My opponent has run his campaign on divisiveness, fear and insults, and spent months pitting Americans against each other. I’ve said many times that Donald Trump has shown us who he is. Now we have to decide who we are.

Because it’s not just our names on the ballot this year. Every issue we care about is on the ballot, too. This is about who we are as a country — and whether we are going to have change that makes us stronger together, or change that pushes us further apart.

It all comes down to this. I love our country. I believe in our people. And I think there’s nothing we can’t achieve if we work together and invest in each other.

Indeed... According to FOX news. So...

Good news for Clinton. Transit strike in Philadelphia ended so people should have proper busing to the polling stations tomorrow

Hillary first.

Have you ever heard of a witch hunt? It was when people decided that a woman in the community was a witch and would do anything they could to prove it. Even just making things up to support their claims. The point being, once they set out to find a witch, they found one.

Now, let's look at Hillary. The Republicans have already branded her a witch and have spent over $100 million on over 33 investigations. By Congress and the FBI. And yet, they have come up empty. The point who want to crucify her for so much as a parking ticket have nothing to nail her up with.

Now, some say that the FBI is being controlled by Obama but, if that were true, do you think they would have pulled that little stunt last week? No.

Bottom line, if the people going out of their way to pin literally anything on Hillary can't find anything, it's probably not there.

But they did find something on the Clinton's for all those 100s of millions. Bill lied about getting a BJ in the Whitehouse.

Money well spent

Touchè.

In all honesty though Republicans do seem to go to the extreme investigating stuff, to the point they might take a legitimate concern and turn it into what you say is a witchhunt

I personally think the Republican strategy is basically to make everything seem like a scandal and investigate it to try tire out the public to make them less likely to want to vote

Yup, that one could have had an impact on voter numbers.

Hillary is not an innocent victim of the angry townsfolk looking to exact revenge. A witch hunt analogy requires an innocent victim. She is slimy and sneaky. There is a reason that scandal has followed this woman for almost 3 decades...and it's not because of a 30 year witch hunt by Republicans. She's not guilty of all the crap they throw at her but if you think she is 100% innocent and a unfortunate victim of political assasination then they could find bodies in her basement and liberals would forgive her. Look at all the mental gymnastics going on with the Wikileaks emails.

I agree that House Republicans have gone too far and spent too much on special hearings and investigations. Republicans are corrupt too.

Obama can't control the entire FBI. All of this recently is rogue agents from some tabloid rumors and Comey can't control his house.

The point isn't so much about innocence or guilt as it is that in a witch hunt, the outcome was predetermined. They set out to burn a witch and ended up burning a witch. The Republicans set out to burn Hillary and yet, can't find the wood they need to set the fire. Even after over 33 investigations. At some point they, and her detractors need to admit that maybe what they want to burn her for, isn't going to work instead of repeating the same thing over and over again expecting a new result.

Just remember also, in the court system, this would have been put to bed under double jeopardy.

He has a leaky ship in the FBI and he was trying to get ahead of the story. Like I said when he initially wrote that letter he's attempting to thread a needle here. If that's not apparent after his most recent comments I don't know what is.

It is his leaky ship, that he created. :funny:

He did? How so? He was afraid that the story was going to get out to the press so he controlled the narrative with the letter. Had he not and the story got out, it would seem that the FBI was trying to cover things up for Hillary to win the election and the narrative would have been much worse. I though the Hillary campaign handled it poorly they should have pointed out that it says that they have found no criminal wrongdoing and are just investigating and just like they looked at all those other e-mails they aren't going to find any wrongdoing because there isn't anything to find. Boom done. Instead they freaked out and took a position of "how dare they" which makes her look rather elitist as she tends to do rather often. The woman has zero self awareness sometimes.

If you are going to say he created it by angering the New York branch by perhaps micromanaging the situation and taking the investigation to the DC branch even though New York had jurisdiction then maybe that's an argument to be made although the way the New York branch is behaving I think he may have done the right thing there. Although, I don't think that's the argument you are making.

He runs the FBI. The FBI is leaking. Its his leaks.

More to the point, you know how you avoid these leaks? By informing very few people and not starting an investigation before the election. Just wait. Not hard. If the people he trust are leaking, that is a judgment of him.

I mean, I agree that the buck stops here and he has seemingly lost control and seems like there is a mutiny and he's probably going to have to step down in order to right the ship. That being said...once the situation had gone south he had to choose the best way to handle it.

What are you talking about, don't start an investigation? The New York branch discovered things while investigating Weiner, once they uncovered information he can't just erase their memory, this isn't Men in Black. At that point he can sit on the information which would anger the New York branch yet again and cause them to leak out information and claim that Comey is stonewalling an investigation or he could control the narrative himself by getting ahead of the leaks.

Doesn't double jeopardy only apply if she was indicted, but got off? No formal charges were made, only investigations, so technically speaking, they can keep going if no charges are ever made. That's my assumption at least.
