So. I gather this invasion arc is winding down, yes?

If that's the case, once its done I'll return as Blurry and that policeman I never posted as.

You can say that.

Don't bother reposting your apps...you're still approved.

Waiting to come back as Blurry. For now, here's a character to take the place of that other policeman

Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application

Character you have created:
Sgt. William White Jr., Lost Haven PD

Alias: N/A

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Trebuchet MS

Character Alignment: Hero for now

Identity: Known

Character Personality: Will is an honest cop in a city that doesn't have many. The dislike he feels towards his father has spurred him on to be a "better" man. Assigned to Inspector Ed Smith's Mob Squad unit, Will isn't so sure he has the convictions or the stomach for muscle work.

Uniform/costume: The uniform of a plainclothes detective: a suit and tie

Origin Info/Details:

Born to FBI agent William White Sr., Will White grew up in his father's large shadow. William Sr. was a legend in the FBI, working covert ops involving organized crime.

Like all fathers and sons, the two Williams never got along and Will saw his father as a man guided by his racial prejudices and hatred.

After high school, Will enrolled at Haven University, majoring in chemistry. After graduating Summa *** Laude, Will signed up for the Lost Haven Police Department. During his time as a beat cop, Will married his college sweetheart, Lynn.

Deputy Chief Ed Smith, an old friend of William Sr., saw promise in Will and brought him to his Mob Squad unit. Mostly a strongarm role, Smith is beginning to wonder if Will is able to do the job.

As a final test of his character, Smith has sent him to Las Vegas on a special assignment.

Hero Type (Select one):
Normal (Non-powered characters)

Power Level (Select one below):

1. Street Level (Ex. Punisher, Daredevil)

Powers (Be Specific): Besides being decent with a pistol and having a degree in chemistry, Will is an average man.

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level:Normal Human

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal Human

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence:
Chemistry: Genius
Everything else: Average

Fighting Skill: Trained

Resources: Average

NOTE: Even if all attributes chosen are Normal human when Super-Genius, Mastered, and Extreme are chosen for the final three attributes, this player is a level 3 or 4 character, such as Batman.

Weaknesses: Normal human stuff

Supporting Characters: William White Sr. (father), June White (step-mother) Lynn White (wife), Inspector Ed Smith (commanding officer), Mike and Ike Eckling (Mob Squad partners),

List a few reasons why you've created that character: Not to toot my own horn, but I'm the guy you go to when you need a cop. I've played a cop in this RPG and three others. I love to do it, and I have fun doing it.

The other reason I'm doing it is to show another side of my story with the Lost Haven cops I originally had planned with Inspector Ed. It's not fun to play to puppetmaster to me. It's more fun being the puppet.

What can you bring to the RPG?: A decent RPer with, hopefully, one hell of a story.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Yeah

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

Las Vegas

The ice in my drink melting. Water and condensation coating my hand. Glance out the window - The desert from 50,000 feet in the sky.

Ed: "We've got a problem in Vegas that needs to be sorted out."

Inspector Smith always danced around the REAL reason.

The job: Twenty grand in cold, hard cash to clip one Marcus Albright.

Albright's a southside bookie that shanked a beat cop in the stomach two weeks ago and jetted to Vegas.

Smith forgot to mention the facts. The beat cop survived the "attack": FACT. Albright stabbed him because the cop was demanding Albright pay protection: FACT.

Skimmed Albright's file on the flight Vegas. It helped me from locking eyes at the flirty flight attendent. Don't have the heart to tell her I'm married.

Marcus Leon Albright
Black Male DOB 7/21/71
Prior Convictions: Four H possession charges '93, '96, '97 - all misdemeanors and probation time. Assault With a Deadly Weapon charge in '01 - sentenced to four years in the Maine State Pen. Still on probation

Quiet since '05. Bookmaking operations kept under the radar, monthly pay-offs to Vice.

Glance out the window again - casinos and fake American landmarks getting bigger.

The job doesn't feel right.

Hunch: Inspector Smith using this as a test to see if I got what it takes to be in the Mob Squad. Smith's speculation: Willy White doesn't have what it takes to beat the snot out of hoods.

Plane touches down and I'm the first out the door.

Claim my bags at the pickup and out the airport doors.

"Sergeant White," a thick southern drawl.

"My name is Detective Fred Holly. Clark County Sherrifs."

Holly: White Stetson covering a pudgy face. A dark gray suit covering his fat rolls - a Glock on his side and leanded against a unmarked Crown Vic. ****-kicking boots clocking across the concrete. Smells of scotch and chewing tobbaco cover Holly.

"I guess you're in town to kill that black fella."

"I guess so."

"Hell, boy. You can take the money. I'll do it for free."

Holly yucking it up. Tobbaco spit hits my eye.

Wipe the spit off, fake a smile and laugh at Holly's joke.

Viva Las Vegas.

Icon and Keelan posts coming soon, if not tonight, either tomorrow or Wed.

I'll come up with something tonight...

Well...I was just about finished with an Icon post when I somehow managed to lose the entire thing when I went to save it....:cmad:

Not sure if I have the energy to redo the whole thing right now...it's getting late and I have to be to work early tomorrow. I'm gonna do some more work on it, but It may not be posted until tomorrow when I get home.

Icon post up.

And with that, we pretty much conclude the Invasion arc.

Now is the time to tie up the loose ends, and get into some of the aftermath.

Keep checking here for an announcement in the next few days of how we're going to procceed from here.

And now with the conclusion of the Invasion arc...time to pick up where I left off...

Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application

Character you have created: Kevin Pierce
Alias: Shadow Walker

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Verdana gray

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Kevin's personality goes through several changes over the course of his career. However, the one constant is that he's a man driven to do what he believes is right. He will do whatever it takes (short of taking a life) to protect his city.

Origin Info/Details: For much of his life, Kevin Pierce lived a relatively mundane existence, though it was a charmed one. He was good looking, a star athlete and relatively wealthy. His father was an engineer who had developed many technological advancements for the US military (some early prototypes of his work were even used and expanded upon by STRIKE) However, he had gained the attention of an up and coming crime kingpin that wanted to use his inventions for his own means. When Kevin's father initially refused, the crime lord had one of his closest friends executed. When that wasn't enough to get Mr. Pierce to join his organization, he had threatened the life of his only son, Kevin. Mr. Pierce reluctantly agreed to join the crime lord's organization and was paid well. However, after several years it came to the Crime lord's attention that Mr. Pierce was using his old government contacts to inform on the criminal organization known only as "The Cartel." The crime lord had Mr. Pierce killed for what he perceived as a betrayal. The crime lord had what he wanted, enough advanced weaponry to become second to none in the criminal underworld.
However, unknown to his employer, Mr. Pierce had finished one last project before he was killed. A special suit that used the wearer's own natural biochemistry to enhance the wearer's natural strength and speed. Also, the suit would provide some protection from firearms as well as some level of flame resistance.
Kevin found the suit while he was going through his father's things soon after his death. At first he did not know what to do with it, but after several months of watching the crime rates in the city skyrocket, and the emergence of other costumed super beings on both sides of the law, he decided that perhaps it was his time to step into the fray. After several months of sticking to the shadows and doing what he can, he learned the truth about The Cartel and their role in his father's death.. His own personal war on crime has shifted into a war on the Cartel itself, and he will not give up until the organization has been broken.

Hero Type (Select one):
Acrobat

Power Level (Select one below):
2. City Level (Ex. Spider-Man, Cyclops)

Powers (Be Specific): Kevin was born different from other people. He has always been faster and stronger than others, having a natural athletic ability that is above and beyond what normal people are blessed with. He is also extremely agile (enough to dodge a hail of bullets). Also, he wears a suit designed by his father that can manipulate his muscle fibers, which enhances his strength, speed and agility. The suit also has various sorts of gadgets built into it that Kevin can use and upgrade as he sees fit. However, one of his greatest gifts is the ability for short range teleportation, or "phasing" as some people call it.

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: 10

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 30,

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 5 hours.

Agility: 20X Human level. (Characters at 20X or higher fall under rules of Level 3 and 4 characters)

Intelligence: Genius (He maintains and develops much of his own equipment.)
Fighting Skill: Mastered (If another Level 3 or 4 stat is chosen with Mastered the character falls under rules of Level 3 and 4 characters)

Resources: Large (Since his mother had died when he was very young, he was the sole heir to his father's estate after his death)
NOTE: Even if all attributes chosen are Normal human when Super-Genius, Mastered, and Extreme are chosen for the final three attributes, this player is a level 3 or 4 character, such as Batman.

Weaknesses (If your stats chosen are deemed powerful enough by a Game Master with no weakness, the character will fall under rules of Level 3 and 4 characters. Even with a weakness, a Game Master may rule it as a Level 3 or 4 character): Despite his abilities he is still just a man, with all the weaknesses of ordinary people. Also, while more of a limitation than a weakness, he can only teleport short distances, if he were inside a burning building for example, he would not be able to teleport himself out.

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):

Erica Keller -Kevin's longtime girlfriend

David Walsh -Kevin's best friend

Rick Hill - A friend of Kevin

Kelly Walters - a good friend of Kevin's, and a former classmate. At one time had a relationship with him, but now dates Rick.

Aunt Betty Kevin's Aunt, who knows his secret and encourages his activities. She uses her former military experience (she was a field operative during the Cold War) to help him along the way

Alexandra "Whisper" Lawler - She provides Kevin important information while he is in the field using an advanced 2 way communications system that is built into Kevin's suit. However, she is not always involved in his operations.

Richard Midas -Head of the international crime syndicate known only as "The Cartel." He poses as an eccentric socialite. However, there is more to him than there seems, as he harbors a secret that nobody except for his closest confidants are aware.

There will also be other characters who show up from time to time, both civilian and meta, good and evil, who will be described when used.

List a few reasons why you've created that character: He's a character that I've been wanting to try out for some time now. He will allow me to do thinks that I can't do with Icon, just because of the type of character he is. Also, he's not extremely powerful, and that is something that I look forward to working with.

What can you bring to the RPG?: Nachos and soda.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: yup

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

"Hey Charlie! Charlie! Are you gonna get off your ass and help me with these crates, or are you gonna sit there feedin' yer face all night long?" Danny says to his partner from behind the heavy crate that he is trying to load into the van.

"Hold yer horses, will ya? I'll be dere in a minute." Charlie replies as he shoves almost the entire half of his sausage grinder down his gullet.

Danny shrugs, and gets back to work with the crates. Normally he wouldn't be in such a hurry, but for some reason, on this night he just has a very bad feeling that he can't shake, almost as if someone is watching them. And he has good reason to be nervous, over the last several weeks someone has been specifically targeting Cartel activities. Interrupting shipments of weapons and drugs, as well as some of the less wholesome things that the Cartel is involved in. And Mr. Midas made it quite clear that nothing is to go wrong with this particular shipment, or there would be "severe consequences."

Danny shutters at what those "severe consequences" might be.

""Come on Charlie, get off your duff and help me with this stuff!"

But there is no response.

"Charlie!"

Still nothing.

"Charlie?!"

Danny is in a near panic. Charlie always says something, even if it's to tell him to get lost. There was a time when nobody would mess with Ol' Charlie, he was a big man who could do more than just hold his own in a fight. Danny had seen him take down three guys with lead pipes with nothing but his bare fists. But Charlie had lost something over the years, his love of pizza and grinders has slowed him down, much of the muscle the he was once so proud of replaced by an ever expanding haunch of flab. But still, Charlie was no slouch. Something is definitely wrong.

"Charlie, you alright pal?"

Then Danny sees it, Charlie laid out around the driver's side of the van. Not moving, out like a light. He spins around quickly, hoping to avoid whoever, or for that matter, whatever it was that took down Ol' Charlie. But before he could take a single step he saw it, it was a ghost or something, like a moving shadow, leaping at him from nowhere. It hit Danny with such a force that he was unconscious before he hit the ground.

Several minutes later the Lost Haven Police arrived on the scene, responding to an anonymous tip, that there was some sort of disturbance at Warehouse 32 in the commercial sector at this very moment. Shadow Walker watches from a nearby rooftop as the police load the two henchmen into squad cars, as well as secure the three dozen crates of high powered weaponry that they were trying smuggle into the warehouse. As the police secure the scene, Shadow Walker feels a small sense of satisfaction knowing that he has dealt another blow to The Cartel, but he knows that this is a long way from being finished, and that he still has a lot of work to do.

Just checking all of the loose ends now, if anyone can think of any please mention them...

* Titan's still up and about, minus one eye.
* Goddess has Singe.
* Clean up crew from the damage the invasion caused.
* Monument to the fallen?
* Discussion about whether this "team" will stand or whether its best they go their own ways with it being a temporary alliance since they were looking into the face of annihilation.
* How the public will view the situation with the realisation that such power is out there and living amongst them.

Anything else?

All in good time :cwink:

I'm cool with us being an actual team, but, for now, I plan on doing a solo arc with Kensei. So, once all the loose ends are tied up (at least all the major ones), he'll be returning to Japan.

So, basically the plan right now is for everyone to just kind of wrap up some individual stuff if they wish. I'm going to have some stuff up either tomorrow or Thursday myself.

Hound, yes, there is going to be a memorial dedication of sorts, Spike and I pretty much have that all worked out.

And like I said last night, there's going to be some sort of an announcement in the next few days about how exactly we're going to proceed going forward.

Tried something alittle different with that last post. I'll have an Icon post up later on, most likely today.

I just have a quick question for you guys...

We're getting ready to do the Dedication for Olympus Memorial Park, so my question is this...

Do you guys want to be involved in it and make it an event, or just do a write up about what happened? The second option would probably be just another "Newspaper write up."

What do you guys think?

Is the invasion arc over? I missed so much of it and had no time to catch up so I thought it be best if I sat that one out and came back later.

Yeah, the invasion is pretty much over. Hound and Majestic are finishing up their side arc, but we're finished with the invasion, now we're just doing the epilogue stuff. And there's going to be an announcement made after the dedication of Olympus Memorial Park.

I wanted to have it be in-game and have the heroes involved. Because obviously we are going to announce the formation of the CAH superhero team.

I'd prefer we do the ceremony as an event as opposed to the newspaper rundown idea.
Whenever you start it, I'll just have Kensei in the crowd in civilian clothing and go from there.

I think having it as an event would be a good thing, my guy would also object to being seen publically, due to the effect it would have back in his home town. He's been chipping away at the criminal activity in his home town and if he is seen to be out of town in such a public way it would damage what work he's done.

Although I could probably correct that pretty quickly with having him return home briefly to maintain his appearance there if required, and probably will have him stop home briefly regardless anyway...
