Sorry I haven't gotten a post up in a while. Haven't really been feeling my writing lately.
 
I planned on getting a post up tonight (and not just in this game), but I'm just having a major case of writer's block...But I'll be getting something in soon
 
Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application

Character you have created: Dexter Rothguard
Alias: Mad Sage

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Century Gothic/Bold

Character Alignment: Walking the Line

Identity: Secret

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations):

Dexter, a descendant from English nobility his parents brought him up to emulate the behaviors regarded to be higher class. He is polite with a very fine etiquette and lives by a gentlemanly code of conduct. Charming in a boyish way he is unassuming in nature and still maintains somewhat of a naivety when it comes to his effect on people. Suffering with Bipolar disorder his personality changes greatly when he has an episode. Anxiety, Self-criticism, Anger, Arrogance, cynicism, and even violence are some of the behaviors that may result during these times. Good at heart sometimes Dexter struggles with what can only be described as criminal tendencies.

Uniform/costume:

Black trench (fabric not leather), Black dress pants, Red (suit) vest, White dress shirt, Dress shirt has a jewel (red) in the collar (where the tie would be), Jeweled cufflinks, Black leather half mask, Black boots.

Origin Info/Details:

Diagnosed with Bipolar disorder at an early age Dexter was still able to have a happy life. Recognized to be a genius at an early age and because of his families status he was able to go to the best schools in England and excel. On his sisters fourteenth birthday his family went skiing in the Alps. While going cross-country with his family Dexter decided to sneak off and go down an expert hill. At first maintaining his balance at a slow rate he decided he could go a little faster and stopped doing slowing methods. He quickly lost control and finally ended by hitting his head on the side of a rock.

Suffering trauma to the head Dexter went into a coma for several weeks while his parents stood by him. Seemingly fine after coming out of the coma his parents took him home and he went back to his life. After a few days his parents realized that Dexter was acting strangely and he was brought for testing. Dexter could accurately describe events from his past but everything after the accident he could only remember pieces. At first Doctors believed him to be suffering from selective memory Dexter realized he didn’t really remember more recent events but was able to deduce what had happened accurately. He placed his memory span to approximately ten to twenty minute intervals.

Eventually going back to his life Dexter was able to graduate from Oxford with a doctorate in Mathematics and Economics. After his sister moved to America after a divorce, Dexter followed suit and took up a professorship at the local University. He became notorious after attending a celebrity ball with his girlfriend at the time whose debut film had just premiered to ovations. After suffering a panic attack in the restroom stall at being in such an atmosphere. He left the bathroom in a daze not knowing why he was there. Leaving the ball with a model on his arm much to the surprise of everyone including his girlfriend he created a media stir. Played up by the papers for being rejected by a nobody the stars career took a dramatic turn for the worse while Dexter became an underground Icon.

Powers (Be Specific):

Extraordinary perceptive abilities he can rapidly organize and correlate vast amounts of information and perceive non-obvious patterns. From this he is capable of calculating all known possible outcomes of any action and understands complex systems rapidly. He is also intuitively an expert at human behavior and can read people with incredible accuracy. These abilities allow him to "see" events before they happen letting him calculate his response.

Strength Level: Normal Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 5X (reaction time)
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human
Agility: Normal Human
Intelligence: Super-Genius
Fighting Skill: Mastered
Resources: Average

NOTE: Even if all attributes chosen are Normal human when Super-Genius, Mastered, and Extreme are chosen for the final three attributes, this player is a level 3 or 4 character, such as Batman.

Weaknesses (If your stats chosen are deemed powerful enough by a Game Master with no weakness, the character will fall under rules of Level 3 and 4 characters. Even with a weakness, a Game Master may rule it as a Level 3 or 4 character):

Normal human. Has Bipolar disorder. Has a memory span of approximately 10-20 minutes. Uses drugs and alcohol. Life is often chaotic. After having bipolar episodes he is left disoriented. Self-critical, will often second-guess himself or not act in his angst. Unknown contingencies can effect his calculations.

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):

Elizabeth Rothguard is his older sister (by one year). She moved from England to the city after a messy divorce to start a new life. Dexter looks up to his sister in many ways and followed her after her move. Liz is a journalist for a conservative newspaper in town.

James Bigkok is a former student who came to see Dexter as sort of a cult figure. After the semester finished be dropped out of College and began following Dexter asking him for a job and doing things for him. After several weeks he finally convinced Dex to let him become his new assistant.

List a few reasons why you've created that character: Because the idea interested me.

What can you bring to the RPG?: Someone who enjoys working with others and playing with himself.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Sure

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

“Dexter? Dexter??”

The noise drowning out the melody of mathematical equations running through his head like a stream of musical notes. His eyes remained closed for a moment before opening them and returning to reality. His hands were buried in his face he could make out images around him but he was confused. A feeling of anxiety with a touch of déjà vu came over him as he slowly lowered his hands and smiled nervously.

"You are the worst you know that Dex?" The beautiful brunette smiled flirtatious as she reached into her bag to grab a lighter. Putting a cigarette to her mouth she lite it and took a drag. He sat watching intensely putting the pieces together in his mind to what was actually going on. She smiled, putting her hand on top of his.

"I'm sorry I was miles away what did you say again?" He said playfully.

He could tell she was slightly annoyed as she replied. "How did you get the cut?" Judging by the situation he hadn't slept with her yet and knowing that he not only could but he would, Dexter knew it was probably their first get together. His mind began formulating possible scenarios until he noticed in his peripheral vision other people looking at him. The restaurant itself was very high class and Dexter quickly got his bearings straight. She dug her nail into his hand slightly pinching Dexter bringing his attention back on her. He grabbed her hand. "Let's go get some coffee I need a little caffeine." Getting up he turned pulling her with him as he moved, she following without hesitation. Her act got him riled up and he knew better than to argue with his libido. Dexter ran his other hand over his chin, the wound was fresh, about two days old or so.

"Your car." His driver yelled out, Dexter knowing who he was talking to without looking. Pulling the lady to the door he let her in while putting his hand in his pocket. James smiled. "You were stressed earlier sir. A nice QUITE evening at home will do you good." Dexter knew what he meant and let out a laugh.

"All is well Mr. Rothguard."

"All is well Jimmy." Dexter replied putting his hand on James shoulder for a moment. Going into the car he felt relaxed once again as the brunette inched to his side and the door closed behind him.

The first post is not his "origin" per-se because of his condition. The next post will have to do with him deciding to become a hero. Also I'm always interesting in working with others...
 
S**t's been super busy here (I'm rehearsing for 3 scripts for Drama courses, and building a set for another Drama course, and also working on an essay and organizing stuff for our dorm's party next week).

I'll try to catch up on my reading in the IC thread tonight, but I probably won't have time to post until the weekend. I'll try to make time, but no promises.
 
planned on getting posts in all my games today, but spent all day in bed, then the hospital...a bit of a swine flu scare, but it was just the flu.

I'll post when I'm better
 
Hey guys, got alittle something in. Not much at all, but I am still pretty sick. This is just my first attempt at some kind of post. I'll have more up later.
 
I'm going to have to drop my character because something came up so I just don't have the time ;(
 
I've been sick as a dog today and yesterday as well... I almost never have headaches and now my skull feels like its going to split in two and I don't really know how to deal with it...
 
I'm just letting it be known that i WILL have my post up with in 2 hours or so im just wait for my boss to leave to i can get the writing. I'm have this fight with titan wrap up


Okay make it tomorrow. I have some editing i have to do on it

So I wasn't able to get a post up last week like I had planned to. However, I should have a Survivor post up either tonight or tomorrow (most likely tomorrow). The past two weeks have been utter hell at school. I was actually kicked out of one of my Drama classes yesterday after not being able to stay awake because I've been forced to pull off too many all-nighters.
 
Well, got alittle bit of a post up. Truth be told I've been struggling with what I was going to do with this little battle, so I changed some things up from what I was originally doing. I've just had a hell of a case of writers block the last week or so, and it sucks. But I'm trying to work through it.

Spike, if you still wanted to join in...I could probably use some help with the Ubersuit....
 
Yep. You're not seeing things. I actually posted.

I was going to stay out of the invasion. But I said screw it. It's time for the Invisible Man to get his hands dirty.

Of course, he doesn't use guns...or kill...or really fight for that matter...

...I should have stayed out of the invasion.
 
I'll have a post up sometime in the next day or so for Icon, and probably one for Keelan as well, even though he's just kinda standing there watching the brawl that's taking place.

Got a post up as well. Yayz.
So yeah, the Survivor's been through the ringer and I'm using that as an excuse for his delayed arrival to the scene.
 
I'll get something up tomorrow... I've got an idea about what it'll be like, just not the time to flesh it out properly.
 
Yeah...so I'm writing my Keelan post, and then I check and see JB's post and think that maybe I'll have to make an edit or 2...but good ol' JB, everything worked out just fine
