What will be the final RT score?

I reckon that a lot of the critics will find certain elements (time travel/quantum realm type things) a bit too complex, along with the overstuffed nature of a story like this.

So I'll go for 75-85% but I think audiences will love it 90% +
The same critics who ate up crap like "Interstellar", too. Sorry. I hated that movie.

I have room in my heart for both Avengers style action spectacles and movies like Interstellar. I thought Interstellar was one of Nolan's finest films, actually.

This is a guy who regards Snyder's DC films as masterpieces.

That tells you all you need to know.

Oh...he's one of those guys. "DC is more mature than Marvel because they make sure not to have any fun and everyone is super depressed, which helps me relate because life is pain...nothing but pain".

Even the more lukewarm reactions still say it's good. to me...that is telling. They needed to stick the landing and it seems like they did.

I needed that Campea review to not get too overhyped lol. Even though I barely ever agree with him and want to fight him half the time. I still feel he is genuine in his opinions. And he still says it is good.

Based on my experience with MCU, I'm inclined to believe statements like this. When everybody was raving about Ragnarok or Black Panther, I went to see those films and what I got was considering leaving the cinema multiple times during the screening because of how boring and meh those movies were.

Likewise with Infinity War. At least the first time I saw it, it was great fun, no doubt (those deaths felt fake since I knew all those characters have sequels in production, plus there was nothing interesting about them), but a fun ride nonetheless. Second time I saw it, it felt rather empty and plain. All those youtube videos about how "this movie should not work, but its script is actually a masterpiece" feel weird to me. Something like Nolan's Memento or The Prestige are things that should not work at all but the results are absolutely amazing and stunning.

Just the last week I was rewatching The Fellowship of the Ring, and that one film alone had more epic and waaaaay better and more emotional moments than Infinity War after 10 fricking years of a build-up.

But at least with Endgame I believe the creators were allowed to get more hard-core since it's the end of one era, so I can imagine this film being more emotional and epic than any other MCU film. (Well, there wasn't even one truly epic yet, but you get the idea.) Yet, I believe the first two hours can be mediocre. MCU films overall lack intricacy big time, so I can vividly imagine what Campea is talking about. It's gonna be another action fun ride with some telenovela emotions stuff here and there yet with a huge heartbreaking grand third act. Dunno whether it will be as amazing as The Return of the King, because Russos don't have the sensibilities and skills Jackson had in his acme, but I think and hope they've delivered something somewhat close. And maybe it will be even better, who knows...

So funny how people say he's a DC fanboy for writing this while... you all know him, right? :funny:

Yet this is another thing I'm willing to believe. I rewatched some Winter Soldier fights and they were shot and edited so badly, horrible camera work, tons of needless weightless cuts... same with some IW fights. So I wouldn't be surprised if EG fights were messy as well.

Because there's gonna be some time travel stuff or something and those writers are far from being Nolan-level masterminds when it comes to writing things like that?

I mean go watch the first Nolan's film, "Following". That guy's a madman. Such a small black and white self-financed film, with a way better and more clever script than these huge-budget Disney blockbusters, that can pay for anything except for people being true geniuses, have. :D

I think EG guys conpensate for that by subverting expectations:
So the sci-fi story part won't be mindblowing but they will do some twists with the characters so it feels interesting.

Overall, everything I read here fits well with the rest of the MCU narrative again, when people said IW or Ragnarok or whatever were amazing, yet to me those stories were quite rudimentary and boring. So I feel like this is going to be another usual MCU film, just longer and with more emotions at the end.

But I hope so much this films delivers. That this will be the first MCU film when I leave the cinema and feel overwhelmed and in awe, and not, as always, the opposite...

This is literally the most ridiculous post I've ever read on the Hype. And I frequent the politics board so that is really saying something. You hated Black Panther and Ragnarok so much you almost left? You hated Infinity War? Winter Soldiers fight scenes were bad? Why would you ever go to a Marvel movie? Why would you come to any message board for the MCU? It seems you might just be a giant troll.

Let's not label each other as trolls, guys. We are allowed to have our own opinions of movies. If he loves Snyder films but hates MCU films that are more popular, that's his opinion. He's allowed to have it. There is nothing that says your opinion has to match that of what is popular

And the award for least subtle trolling on the Hype goes to...

I just....the bookcase. I just can't. I thought the time aspects of the film were interesting with time passing at different intervals for different places, but the bookcase broke me. I still love Momento, though. That was some awesome stuff. Never saw Inception...not for any reason other than I missed it in theaters, and I find Ellen Page very off-putting. If its ever on Netflix of someone has it, I wouldn't mind seeing it.

I like smart movies, and I like well done movies...and I also feel you don't have to hate one to enjoy the other.

Opinions, totally cool
but to go onto a forum for movies you know you dislike to "express your concerns" about the new movie everybody on said board is extremely hyped for is a little questionable

Come on now, don't be THAT pathetic. He just expressed his opinion on how he received some the MCU movies. You don't have to agree, but calling him a troll is just an imbecile move to be honest.

Yeah, also, if someone is truly trolling, then feeding them is never the best recipe for success. Just ignore them and they'll go away...just like the Snyderverse.

lol
How do we not have a "Thanos Snap" smiley?
Just the glove snapping and a smiley turning to dust

Agree. No need to be resentful just because someone voices a completely different opinion to yours on a public forum. I see no evidence of trolling here.

People's thoughts should be respected no matter how different to the prevailing opinions.

Believe it or not, outside of this this bubble we live in...there are movie fans who don't like or enjoy some of the MCU/comic book movies.

We're in Endgame week. It's the new movie coming out, so naturally people who don't frequent this area will be spilling over to discuss the movie. It's not trolling to have an unpopular opinion. I disagreed with every word he said in his post, but I can do that without tossing out labels.

Consona's opinion on the MCU is consistent. He's mostly a DC/JL forums poster, and he's echoed those statements in the DC forum before. So it is not like he is coming in here and saying things he doesn't believe just to get a rise out of people. That would be trolling. But, he's just stating an unpopular opinion. I get that we're emotionally attached to these properties and the 22 films this movie is culminating, but let's not be like those fans that sent death threats to people for posting negative TDKR reviews and stuff like that. Having a minority opinion doesn't make one a troll.

Imbecile? Strong word

At the end of the day movie looks like it is going to deliver what was promised to the people who care about this universe. It's all good!
