Probably bc this movie is supposed to be a finale of sorts.
Maybe they want the viewer to be able to
sit and contemplate that incredible last hour instead of being distracted with end credit interruptions.

I think 10+ minutes of credits are more than enough for the viewer to contemplate.

I normally sit through the credits of every movie as a nod to those who made it- with this length, if there's no overriding reason to stay I'll be trotting to los Banos pretty quickly.

Along with everyone else in the theater. Probably going to be some long lines. :omg:

Just go hardcore and wear some Depends!

Oh nice. Ready for when I get home. I thought it was tomorrow.

Watched the Collider podcast with Kristian Harloff and Mark Ellis dropping some hints about AEG.
I'll put below what both had to say about AEG and the IW scores for comparison.

Kristian Harloff
  • Potential Top 5 MCU movies
  • Liked IW better
  • Rated IW 4.3 out of 5
Mark Ellis
  • Potential Top 10 MCU movies
  • Maybe Top 5 MCU movies
  • Liked it a little more than IW
  • Rated IW 3.9 out of 5

I particularly like Kristian Harloff rating of movies since it seems to be more in line with my own opinion.

Sorry guys. But just the last night I was actually dreaming about watching Endgame  (so unfair it had to be me out of all the people, I know... :funny:, maybe I have this film on my mind more than a lot of you here :D) so I visited this board and with that opportunity I left my honest opinion on Campea's tweet and whatnot here. That's all. :yay:

So Consona unless it's negative or overly critical then for u thats when it's most believable and credible to you...LOL! Okay- says a lot about ur mindset with the MCU. To each his or her own I guess.

I'm more pumped and psyched by the positivity, but it makes sense since ive been mostly happy and pleased with the MCU.
Yea, after like 18 samples over 10 years, of my "enjoyment" of those films and what critics perpetually write about them, this is my conclusion.

Yet you conveniently left out the part of my post where I hope the film's gonna kick ass, so...

I am not the biggest fan of either Ragnarok or Black Panther, but this is just ridiculous.
I've never walked out of a theater and the few times I was tempted to do so the movie was not just mediocre but excruciatingly bad, which none of the films you mentioned are even close to being.
Maybe the problem isn't with the movies but with you and your attention span.
I loved Valhalla Rising, how's that for my attention span? :funny:

No, I was just that bored, that's all.

So...we must have watched completely different movies, I guess.
Same films, just seen with different preferences, tastes and dispositions, would be my guess.

This is literally the most ridiculous post I've ever read on the Hype. And I frequent the politics board so that is really saying something. You hated Black Panther and Ragnarok so much you almost left? You hated Infinity War? Winter Soldiers fight scenes were bad? Why would you ever go to a Marvel movie? Why would you come to any message board for the MCU? It seems you might just be a giant troll.
People have different opinions on things and communicate them on a public forum. Wow...

:cwink:

What's most interesting to me is the people talking about how this is not IW pt 2. This is a totally separate movie and very different from IW in tone and structure, but obviously is a continuation of events. The Russos were talking about this last night on how movies doing the pt.1 pt.2 always seemed like you were getting half of a movie, and they wanted to make two complete movies.

So IW is a totally complete movie where the resolution of the film is Thanos resting smiling on the sunrise of a greatful universe. Without having seen Endgame yet, that makes me appreciate IW even more.
How does this change things? It's gonna be about the fallout from Thanos' actions and some reparation of those anyway...

So Thanos has his clear win, which means that with an Avengers victory in Endgame...

Hardly a tie if time travel is involved and they'll redo the whole event, presumably...

That's high praise considering how much he loved Man of Steel.
Campea thinks MoS is a masterpiece, which is something I agree with. :yay: So him saying the third hour of EG is the best CBM hour is something to consider. :D Yet he once put Avengers 1 above The Dark Knight, which is something so insanely absurd that we are back where we started, knowing nothing. :funny:

You were right about us having different preferences, then. I can't make it through MoS a second time on a bet.

How to say goodbye? Avengers - Endgame offers a stunning and moving end game

CRITICAL - After the bitter defeat of Iron Man and Captain America against the terrible Thanos in Infinity War, the new franchise film completes with panache a popular saga developed for ten years. Three epic Russo episodes, interspersed with Marvel humor and Disney emotion.

"Let it be feared, let it be avoided, one does not escape fate", warned a year ago already the invincible Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Infinity War. As Avengers finally arrives: Endgame in the cinema, the great saga of superheroes of Marvel Studios is about to conclude its grandiose epic, built over more than ten years. It is with a particularly dense specifications that the brothers Joe and Anthony Russo have tackled the realization of this great final long awaited by fans around the world. Critical warranty without spoiler.

The inventory is chaotic. The tragic snap of the best supervillain of the franchise, holder of the powerful stones of Infinity, has made half of the universe disappear in dust. We find the few survivors of this stinging defeat, those who have turned the page and those who can not resolve it. All are nevertheless superheroes. Then in a last wave of hope, they are launched in a desperate attempt to bring back the victims of Thanos to life.
The timelines of the previous films intertwine. The winks are numerous, there is no doubt that fans of comics will appreciate a few especially. A bit too much? The "fan service", this craze to want to please fans by giving them what they want most, is slightly felt. Endgame does not just complete the saga of twenty-two movies that began in 2008 with the first Iron Man. It is a true celebration of the bond woven over the years with a very active community that follows each Marvel Studios release with passion. Beware, neophytes could get lost.

For this film that lasts more than three hours, no need to waste time to present each character again. In Infinity War, the Russo brothers chose to give depth to Gamora, Thanos' adopted daughter. Endgame focuses on explaining everyone's motivations and making us understand why everyone is running after the past.
A big eight rich in emotions

Everything seems wrong. Thor, who was known to be much more electric, is now only a shadow of himself and Chris Hemsworth is a worthy successor to The Big Lebowski's Jeff Bridges. Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), who was able to tear down buildings in two, was given a sedative truck by Dr. Banner. As for Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), whose power was discovered a few weeks ago in cinema, she found herself a new priority. The box office superheroine now has other things to do in space - except hers, of course.
The heavyweights of the team on the sidelines, the opportunity is dreamed to raise the characters more erased. Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) can finally come to the fore. Ant-Man has taken the insurance and rings the doors of the Avengers. And Nebula, since the death of Gamora, has found new goals of revenge.

We were waiting for Marvel at the turn with the reunion of Captain America and Iron Man. The two men founded the Avengers, their continual arguments led the team to the edge of the precipice. Now they have to pick up the pieces. They have no choice but to agree. Not without difficulty, nor bitterness. There is no scripting surprise; the achievement of this reconciliation is all the more successful. Faced with them, Thanos, still as clever and scary, confirms his super-super-villain status.
In "Endgame", Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) finally proves his qualities of Avenger on the screen.
If End Game is slow to start, the writers have kept, between two scenes of action, the few touches of humor that are the mark of Marvel. Often, it allows breathing a blow. Sometimes the joke sequences are a little too long, a little too mechanical.
But we do not sit too deep in your chair - and in your certainty - the outcome of the saga is revealed ... reveals itself ... Well, it reveals itself in the cinema. The Russo brothers have insisted that no spoiler should spoil the surprises of this carefully polished episode. Marvel, of course, finds his account because the studios hope to beat widely the $ 2 billion of revenue Infinity War. But these instructions are understandable at the sight of a final that is as breathtaking as moving. Do not forget your packs of tissues. Disney and Kleenex, same fight.
Comment se dire adieu ? Avengers - Endgame offre une fin de partie étourdissante et émouvante
