The CW's Nikita

She still needed Nikita to save her butt when the guards bust up the wedding kill.

True. But she did get killing out of her system. Now that she killed her "boyfriend" she'll be more ruthless in the field. And, remember, we're just half-way through season one. Let's not rush everything. By season two, Alex should be a badass.

BY THE WAY, did anyone catch that Michael is suspicious of Alex? I'm surprised that no one has brought that up.

They seriously need to start pumping up the black girl into a badass so she can finally become a true nemisis to Alex instead of just somebody to laugh at because she is always one-upped. And shouldnt Division have some more field agents out there that could take on Nikita when she tries to foil some of their missions?

And if this gets a s2, I hope we get a cameo by Peta Wilson. Or bring her in to take over Division and shape the place up.

She's just a lame character with a lame motivation. A guy.

I guess we totally read that scene differently cause I didn't see her get anything out of her system. She accidently killed a guy during a struggle. That's not the same as killing some defenseless guy point blank in the face.

Lots of these targets aren't defenseless. They have body guards and other people with guns around them. So, she's gonna have to get used to killing quickly and running away.

Thursday's episode was awesome. I like where this show is headed. Too bad we have to wait till April 17 for the follow-up.

So, I didn't like this show when I first started watching it when i came out...only watched half of the pilot. then I gave it another try a couple days ago and i'm already halfway through the show. It's fantastic!!!!!

This has to be one of the best action shows on TV right now. I can't believe I didn't stay to watch it sooner. Looking forward to the second season. This show deserves way more hype.

I did the same thing with syfy's Haven.....

Nikita is a fun show.

HAH! I did that with HAVEN too....maybe i'll give that another go as well. The characters just seemed so boring in the first couple episodes!

there's also the thing of, it's a new show....should i bother getting into it incase it's a 1 season wonder show?

having never seen the original show... how close is this to the original?

I'm thinking about checking this series out if I can find it online, but mainly because of Maggie Q.

I think you can view the episodes on the site...not sure. I've been getting them off Xbox Live.
I'm really impressed with this show. It's almost like each episode is a mini-movie.

I never watched the original show, and was never a fan of the original film. There are occasional nods to previous versions, but rarely do they interfere with the story. The show stands on its own just fine.

Details of both the USA show and the movie are there:
*Nikita being a junkie beforehand was from the movie
*Character names like Michael and Berkhoff are nods to the USA show, although Berkhoff was a much nicer character in the USA show, and not at all a lecherous *****ebag like in the current series.

The USA series featured a Nikita who was just a homeless chick who was set up for murdering a cop.

The big thing with the USA show was [BLACKOUT]that she was essentially destined to join Section One, and as the show progressed, you saw more of organization that Section One worked under, and all of the other bosses in charge of that organization, the Center. It was also revealed at an informant for Section One was actually the head of The Center, and ultimately recruited Nikita to be a mole for the Center, to keep an eye on Section One, which ultimately gave her a level of authority that trumped Section One. When fans campaigned for a fifth season of the show (although it only ran 8 episodes), Nikita was looking forward to being a fixture within the Center in a non-field capacity, but ended up having to do field missions with Section One operatives anyway. It was then revealed that the head of Center wasn't even the real head of Center in the first place! Enraging Nikita, and putting her on a quest for the real head, who turned out to be the father she never knew! While I knew I've left out countless details, the series ends with her father exchanging his life for an innocent who was being held for ransom, and the series ends with Nikita taking over Section One, as it had always been her destiny, despite her hope of one day escaping it.[/BLACKOUT]

I've seen the original film, american remake and the show on USA, but I'm not really a fan.

I missed the second half of the finale. Could someone give me a recap.
Did Nikita have something to do with the death of Alex's father?

She killed him..... had orders to kill the whole family, but broke ranks to save Alex

The finale was decent if a little cluttered, the set up is there for the second season to evolve things. I'm particularly looking forward to seeing how Nikita breaks Fletcher out of the high security Federal prison.

That is if she remembers him at all. :p

Thanks Dr. Lee,

So I'm assuming that Nikita 'saving' Alex wasn't random. Perhaps it was motivated by guilt?

I thought the finale was great. You know the Smallville finale was a let-down when Nikita's finale was more fun and exciting to watch. One of the things I admire about this show is the way they handle the action and suspense. It's top notch.

I liked the finale and was totally shell shocked when we got our first La Femme Nikita guest star (the actress who played Madeline was part of the CIA or whatever group that apparently Amanda has been working for)

I didn't watch the USA series, so who was that woman?
