This episode was AMAZE-BALLS. Did not expect that ending with Michael. The brief Nikita vs. Anne fight was good which was no surprise.
Great episode this week! I love what happened to Michael because the character's become a bit stagnant for me, and this gives him some new issues to deal with (even if next week's promo looks cheesy), and possibly a new direction as well.
This week was a great example of why I enjoy this show so much - the writers' particular talent for subverting expectations of what most shows would do with these plot-lines. Everyone finds out Sonya's been the mole and Birkhoff's been keeping it a secret, yet everybody gets it and nobody beats them up about it. Alex's addiction comes out and she gets confronted simply with support and understanding. Michael and Alex have to play up a relationship for a mission, and there's no jealousy or confused feelings involved. Any other show would have exploited any one of those developments for maximum drama, but Nikita has always treated its characters like the mature, professional adults they are (except Alex), and that's something I've always found refreshing about it.
A big Question Is what do they do with Amanda when she resurfaces. Her henchwoman has been killed and her moles all gone.
They need to shift away from Amanda for awhile though and focus on that group Percy was trying to join, "The Club." We should be learning more about them.
Yeah, I'm not yet convinced they won't take the Percy-esque omnipotent route with Amanda eventually, but it was nice to see her dealt a serious blow this early in the season. Makes me even more nervous about what they have planned for the big threat toward the end of the season, because at this point in any season of Nikita, they're just warming up. I have a feeling Amanda's gonna disappear for a while after this. Only to return at the worst possible moment. On a side note I liked The Watchman character, I thought he was a neat little addition and it was a shame he got taken out so quickly. It was also good to see the team outwit Amanda, I was worried they'd make her practically omnipotent like they did with Percy at one point.

Re: Michael/Alex - that would be just plain wrong to me, as I pretty much see Nikita and Michael as Alex's spy parents, lol.
I love the development of the Government rediscovering their love for Division...much to everyone's dismay, lol. IF this is going in the direction it appears to be at the moment - with "our" Division going rogue from the Government for the "right" reasons this time...I'm gonna have to demand a season 4, even though I've been totally cool with the idea of this being the last season 'til now, haha.
I agree about next episode looking good. I feel like Sean is the character with the most unused potential right now (it's great to have a main good guy who doesn't worship at the altar of Nikita, imo), so it'll be nice to see an episode focused on him. As I recall, the Sean-heavy episodes midway through S2 were the point when I felt that season really kicked into gear.

Yep, I think that's gotta happen at some point.I think poor Nikita and Alex are never going to be able to wipe their slates clean the way they'd hoped as I think they will end up directly opposite the President, I imagine exposing Division entirely may be the endgame.
I think they really missed the boat in not casting her as Alex's mom. I mean, she looks much more like Alex than Nina from 24 does, imo.All I wanna know is. . . . WHEN IS PETA WILSON GONNA GUEST STAR?!?!?!t:
Pretty much. Though I doubt Percy's intentions were ever that noble, lol. Carla's sure, but Percy's? Nah.Yeah, it's been a GREAT season. Solid writing, strong character moments. I love the whole shadow of the old Division sort of looming over them all. You can see how it's almost coming full circle...the way divison started is happening all over again. No matter how good their intentions are...
Anyhoo, here's a pretty epic new promo to tide us over for the brief hiatus:
