I am trying to like the idea of WF but nothing about it seems like a good idea...sure the script will be better than BvS was but there is no doubt those comparisons will be made meaning we will have another 2-3 years of hearing about Snyder and how Gunn is just ripping him off. Plus, you might have two films with two different Batmen filming at the same time...not exactly ideal.

I am not saying I wont support the film if/when it is announced because duh I totally will, but I bet there are better ideas out there. JMHO.

Well, if it's going to be a legit great movie and does justice to the Batman and Superman alliance, then it's a great idea.

I’m curious about that scene. Since Superman wouldn’t normally punch a human that hard, I’m guessing Luthor has his soldiers hopped up on some kind of super serum. Which means he’ll probably take some himself…

It really feels like Gunn has nailed these characters (based on the trailers and interviews). Luthor's dialogue is *chef's kiss*

Well, if it's going to be a legit great movie and does justice to the Batman and Superman alliance, then it's a great idea.

Only if it is successful. WF will have the highest of expectations (not to mention a ridiculous budget) and if it underperforms it could get ugly. Its a rather large step when building a universe. (another reason I hate shared universes) That is why it makes more sense to have a Batman film made first.

No doubt we will like it and that is what matters most in the end but if we also want a Justice League film (and I think you and I both do) then WF has to be a homerun across the board. And the timing doesn't seem ripe for that from where we sit today. Opinions can and will change as we learn more

note: Before BvS was called BvS (which I always hated) I really wanted it to be a WF film. I think WF leading into JL is the smart play. JL only works with both of them and Wonder Woman. And I dont want DC to do the Marvel "10 movie buildup" plan because it isn't needed...especially with all the other options for ways to deal with heroes. (especially TV) I am not against the concept of WF in any way...I just want it to have the best possible chance to succeed both in our eyes and the eyes of the public plus the studio.

I believe they did something similar for The Fantastic Four. When a seat was filled, the logo would pop up.

Actually, I want to see Guy get his ass handed to him EVERY time he makes an appearance. That happened a lot in the comics, and I would really dig seeing that in live action!

I didn’t want to do it but I watched the final trailer. The trailer sold me on Lex. He is such a hater. Very arrogant, jealous, and ruthless. This movie was made to get the general audience back. It looks exciting, fun, and emotional. Don’t expect The Batman type of story and awards. To me it’s going to be good popcorn movie that I will see multiple times. This movie will have jokes, especially for children so I see some of the serious Superhero fans won’t like it. I am glad it’s light hearted. In future DCU movies we will get darkness but WB/DC needs to win back the general audience.

I don't wanna.jump the Gunn here, but this Lex may be as liked as heath ledger's joker.
He certainly looks to have the potential to be that good.

and showing why the character is still beloved to this day.

I love the fact that Lois is piloting the T-Craft. I suspect like MAWS they are leaning into Lois being a very capable Army brat, whose Dad probably taught her how to fly aircraft.
