I think he used to write for Latino Review.

Ah, that makes sense. I knew he sounded familiar but I never followed him on Twitter so I wasn't sure.

Latino Review posted this too last night:

I might end up breaking a comic book news item tonight BUT WILL SPOIL THE **** OUT OF IT, so start hating. Still thinking about it.

They've been posting more spoilers about MoS and The Avengers lately so I think it's probably non-TDKR related.

If Nolan decided to go more comicbooky this time and have Bruce heal his broken back with a Lazarus Pit i'm gonna be so happy! Not because that's a great plot point or whatever, but i assume that the whole film would look more comic booky to accomondate such a thing. It would have to be more like BB than TDK.

But besides that if you re gonna use Bane, you should try and have him fulfill his greatest achievement to this date. Its just a pity that we dont have an adult Dick Grayson to take the mantle, although i doubt that would fit in the screentime of one movie. You simply to dont have the time to explore all the subplots that that entails in two and a half hours. That probably takes a trilogy by itself.

i try not to take anything seriously until the film comes out, but this is what Bane is famous for. So I wouldn't be surprised if true. I also remember reading a while ago that it'd happen in the first act of the film.

Maybe Batman being out of action prompts Catwoman to begin her crime spree.

My theory back when I heard about the back breaking, is that they may have a Jean-Paul type character. Then in Jan, when they announced Catwoman in it, I kinda wondered if he is out of comission for a while if Catwoman becomes the misguided hero that tries to fill Batman's shoes, or something kinda like that.

Maybe Batman stops Catwoman a few times, y'know.. from stealing jewels and stuff. But after Batman is injured, she sees how chaotic Gotham is without Batman, and becomes something of a hero.

Sounds plausible. There simply is too much stuff going on for them to also explore the subplot of a substitute batman taking over so if someone takes over, it must be Catwoman with the theme being either that she's doing it wrong, or that Batman inspired her and therefore he can remain as a protector and symbol of Gotham. Or maybe that if he clears his name people will be inspired by him instead of hate him, in the same way he turned CW to good.

But I doubt Batman would come out of hiding for that. So now that I think about it, I would guess it is more likely that she takes over for him to begin with.

If batman is wanted and hated by the city, would bane be a hero for taking him down?

It's interesting to read these ideas about Catwoman.

I still don't know what to make of her situation in the film.

I'm guessing they would. Especially considering they have no idea about the two times he's saved them.

Maybe LoS comes to the city to save it from batman/ gain the peoples trust. Then when the time is right ( have everyones trust) they will destroy the city. Batman will have to "rise" up and stop them and take back his city.

Has Bane ever been held in Arkham Asylum?

I'd love to see Batman escort Bane into Arkham after defeating him, maybe as he goes past inmate rooms we could see one labelled "Joker", and as the camera zips past it we hear insane laughs.

But The Joker thing isn't important. lol.

id at least like a look at an empty cell thats decorated. Sure its thoughtful enough for Nolan to respect Heath by not showing the Joker himself, but he has to also think that nobody died in the universe itself. At least make a reference or else otherwise that seemed like a waste of the Joker to me. Hes Batman's greatest enemy and you cant even show some of his stuff? Not like what they did in Batman & Robin where the costumes were there but at least something. Remember Heath outside of Batman and remember Joker inside of Batman. thats all i have to say

Exactly... because, well, The Joker isn't dead in Nolan's Batman. Maybe there could be like a small semi-transparent window on the door, and we're just able to make out a pale figure with green hair walking around.

yeah, if you can do a scarecrow cameo that was almost pointless IMO, you cant do a small reference to one of the greatest villains of all time? if i dont see anything referenced at all, this movie will be one of the biggest dissappointments i have ever seen. Heath isnt THE Joker, Joker is Joker. im not asking for a physical reference or for him to play a bigger part than he already has. You want a good good movie, start with what sounds reasonable to the audience and to the legacy of Batman. otherwise, im going to compare the ending of TDK to the ending of Inception: ok cool, now you left me off completely not knowing what the hell happened to him.

Completely. Not to mention it'd be a nice little thing for the fans as well.

Aaaaand... should we ever be lucky enough to get a "The Dark Knight Returns" movie, it all fits in continuity wise.

...I'm only semi-serious about the last bit. XD

But seriously. In like 6-10 years, a "The Dark Knight Returns" movie with Nolan at the helm would be all kinds of epic. :o

Hm, other sites like Latino Review and IGN are reporting CBM's rumor.

So lets say a broken back occurs; what time frame do we expect for recovery? Obviously anywhere from 2-8 months would be normal, but in terms of cinematic length, how long would Bats be out of commission? I don't remember the length of time from the comic to be honest. Plus that would be a lot of time for **** to go down in Gotham.

Nolan loves his non-linear storytelling so we might start off with his fight with Bane that led to his back being broken and then it'll go to flashbacks of how it started and how he recovered and then back to the present where he has recuperated already and ready to reclaim Gotham and fight off Bane.

A replacement for Batman might not even be shown. There could just be a dialogue between Batman and Gordon after he came back with Gordon saying how bad things were when he was gone.

If Nolan decided to go more comicbooky this time and have Bruce heal his broken back with a Lazarus Pit.
I swear to god I'll walk out of the theater if Nolan tosses his whole vision down the $h*tter by introducing magic goo into his "world as we know it"!

Rubber suit because it needs to look armored, okay. Makeup instead of perma-white skin, fine. Pit of slime that raises the dead and heals all wounds, BULL $H*T!
