You can see that the tape is clearly inside the building.
The man inside is behind the tape and the spinning doors are in front of the tape. It is not a reflection from anything outside.

A year and a half after TDK would be way way after it... It Was 6 months between TDK and BB... And even tough, it would be interresting to see what has been doing for this year and a half... Did he pursue his duties while being tracked down ??

rebuilding general would take about same time as TDK and BB separation: 6 to 7 months

TDKR could still start right after the TDK events but the whole movie happens in a span of years.

Another thought - maybe the Gotham General Hospital scenes are in a flashback? Maybe something to do with Bane's backstory.

Joey King tweeted about filming today. She didn't say where they'll filming though. Maybe they're back at the Cardington Hangars?

I'm going to to guess that at least 3 yrs have passed since TDK. The mansion has been rebuilt as has the hospital. The cave has hopefully been expanded with lots of cool new toys and gadgets. I think we'll see a new Batmobile and costume. (merchandising $$)

In the interim I'd wager that Bats has laid low because the cops have been looking for him because of the events in TDK. Taking this time to up his game a bit and increase his capabilities. Also focusing on running his business and charities.

Wanted to go for the last two years, but money's been an issue. Hopefully I can make it 2012, and that way it'll be chalk full of DKR merchandise and the vibes will work to my favor.

For me, this film is the hardest one to predict what's in store - including ALL the Batman films dating back to 1989, we're in the dark, real dark, for the first time, at least IMO.

That's Nolan he always likes to keep things close to his vest!

No, not necessarily. As kvz5 pointed out, the film could begin soon after the final events of TDK and merely span over a number of years.

The man in the white t-shirt is most likely taking pictures for continuity. I can't imagine seeing the pictures on that camera

I'm really excited for the expo, to see what's revealed, as long as we get something official, it will greatly satisfy me.

I agree with you about there being more than one hospital in Gotham.
However, the pictures provided show the building clearly labled as "Gotham General Hospital" so...

I just had a thought!
What if the masked man jumping out of the window is Dent???
And this hospital scene is a flashback of his escape from Gotham General before it blew up.
Therefor, explaining how Dent escaped the hospital before it blew up and the mysterious murdered cops Gordon refers to at the end of TDK.- Which Nolan did say he would clarify when asked about on the Blu-Ray TDK forum
