Hollywood is going with one color scheme since the very first transformers movie. The colors Orange and Blue are mostly use now days to tint the film. Michael Bay loves to use orange for nice crispy skin tons...So does Wally Pfister...Blue is often used during outdoor scenes at night to highlight city lights.

Nah, I'm not in that camp. I just simply don't like all the plate designs on the TDK suit. A solid black or dark gray suit would be better.

I too think the TDK suit is too busy. Particularly the legs. That's my biggest problem.
