Reposting because I think this should really be discussed:

The way Nolan likes to reinterpret the Batman mythos, I wouldn't be surprised if Bane ends up being a Talia equivalent. Maybe he'll be Ra's' son? And that possibility and parallel excites me far more than it does for Ra's to have a daughter.

Look at all you can have with that sort of angle? Bane is a force of nature, thanks to his father, who trained him since his early years to be someone who can possibly control the League of Shadows. Bane goes along with it because he becomes just as convinced as his father, maybe Bane saw his mother die too. At some point, there was a falling out between father and son. In his pain, Bane turns to a life of crime. Ra's disowned him. Ra's traveled the world to find his other equal. His other son. He found it in Bruce. Someone who shared the "means to fight injustice. To turn fear against those who prey on the fearful."

Suddenly, there's a rift and Ra's is dead. The group is without a focused leader. Years later, in comes Bane who has finally found his calling and a reason in his life: to honor his father's legacy and to show no mercy. Bruce and Bane both have oaths to fulfill. And only one will rise from the darkness victorious.

Maybe a metaphorical son, like Bruce was, possibly. The info from India certainly hints that a young Ra's has some involvement with a young Bane. I wouldn't be happy with a Bane Al Ghul though.
