So I'm putting the finishing touches on a fun little announcement teaser for TDKR, and I'm in a bit of a pickle: upload it for fans to hopefully enjoy (it certainly gets me pumped for how minimal it is), or stage a fake bootleg and cryptically pass it around the net?

I wouldn't fake it though. That was more of a joke. It's a jerky thing to do, not to mention a monumental waste of everyone's time. It would be kind of funny, however, to see how many people would actually be dumb enough to believe that another, yet completely different bootleg of a TDKR teaser leaked. I feel like, if done correctly, there would be those who would buy it...which is quite sad actually.

Don't do that. It might be funny when the movie sites report it, but I get tired of having to tell my friends that fake stuff they've seen online is fake and then have them argue irrationally with me that it is real. The average person doesn't research the validity of this stuff like we do.

July 28th - roughly August 21st. By that time were supposed to have gotten Bane, Catwoman and Batman promo pics so that makes me hopeful for promising set pictures.

You know what 11... show the announcement. You're entitled to show it. If all of those other people can post their fakes, then there's no reason that you can't post yours which is more than likely substantially better (now the pressure's on). And if outlets start picking it up as real, so what... Think of it as a social experiment.
