Deadline didn’t have numbers yet but they said it was down 50% from Apocalypse in the UK. Apocalypse opened at 10.6 and finished at 24.3, so...I'll like to know what it made in the UK since Wednesday. I went to the first screening and there was literally 10 people in there. Apocalypse was full.
Same. I hope we great them in the MCU. McAvoy could make a great Reed IMO.I feel bad for Fassbender and McAvoy. Those two always give out their best, regardless of the material and/or script.
I would never call first class a mistake. It's one of the best CBMs and the best Xmen movie IMO. The mistake was making this movie instead of ending the franchise with DOFP.The box office is not looking good, it’s sad that this historical franchise will end this way. On the hindsight, maybe it would has been better not to do a First Class reboot at all and letting X3 be the last team movie and spinning off Wolverine.
First Class reboot was a mistake, they was better off creating solo movies. I would have love seeing a Iceman movie and other solo X-Men.
Yeah. And to think I thought Shazam would be the lowest grossing SH movie this year. Get ready guys, if this keeps going lower, DP will not gross 100m domestically and will probably end its WW gross below 300m. This movie cost close to 200m!No X-Men film should open lower than freakin’ Shazam even if it is domestically.
There’s no way they will be in the MCU anytime soon for any role. It would be one thing if they had only done one comic book movie but they’ve done several and are forever associated with X-men.Same. I hope we great them in the MCU. McAvoy could make a great Reed IMO.
Fox’s Dark Phoenix under its new boss Disney — that film has a lot to worry about. Pic is currently seeing $15M-$16M today and some are seeing this bird being turned to toast with a $36.5M opening. That’s the lowest opening ever for an X-Men movie, lower than the original 2000 film’s $54.4M start. That atrocious 23% Rotten Tomatoes score, the lowest for the franchise, means casual fans aren’t even going to attend. Just the hardcore ones. Three stars here from general audiences who turned up at 85% on PostTrak. Sixty percent guys last night, 40% females. A low 51% definite recommend. Guys loathe Dark Phoenix more than woman, 67% to 77%.
OMG! You really don’t get it.You’re the one who doesn’t get it. The Top 10 openings this year have all been Adaptations, Sequels and Reboots save for one: Us.
Ditto for 2018, save for one: Bohemian Rhapsody.
All of 2017’s Top 10 were Adaptations, Sequels and Prequels.
Now tell me again how an overwhelming majority likes original content and have “sequel and reboot fatigue.” It’s a nice sentiment but the facts don’t follow it.
Not really. The movie is said to have cost 200 million with reshoots. You should also add another 100 on worldwide marketing and always remember that only part of the earnings goes directly to studios' pockets and an even smaller percentage when we're talking overseas grossing. So with that in mind the movie will likely lose money. Also it probably won't even do as much as 500 million either. It will probably make $500 million worldwide, which is very good. But we are so spoiled by the MCU numbers, it makes $500 million look like a flop.
500 million is unlikely to happen Xpecially the numbers in China and America are way down from Apocalypse, which would lead to bigger drops and Apocalypse earned 543 million. It will probably make $500 million worldwide, which is very good. Didn't you say, that the film was gonna earn a billion last month?
Maybe not even.It will probably earn a billion.... in a different timeline.![]()
LOL Please show me the numbers that prove your point.OMG! You really don’t get it.
