The Trinity is really boring compared to the League as a whole. Not big enough for a proper, complex group dynamic.

I don't think there's ever been that many good attempts at stories that's only the 3 of them together. They usually fall flat one way or another. And partly because I think writers are straight up confused as to what the dynamic between the 3 of them together should be like; Batman and Superman alone are easy because it's just the bad coop/good cop dynamic, but add Wonder Woman into the mix and things just don't gel as well together as you'd imagine based on how iconic the images of the 3 of them standing together are.

Yeah, the Trinity feels like it's a thing because they're the big icons rather than them having a natural group dynamic.

I've seen people asking James Gunn for the Trinity in the DCU to be like that one image of Diana hugging the two of them in a sorta fraternal hug and I do not have enough words to describe how cringe-worthy that type of dynamic with these characters would be lol. I'm not sure what it should be but it's not... that.

Haha, Trinity Polyamory goals. That being said I do think it's kinda important they're all basically friends, I sorta hate Batman/Superman dynamics defined by hostility even if obviously you want their personalities to clash sometimes for the sake of drama.

Yeah but I think sometimes fans and comic writers tend to exaggerate a lot with that. There's kind of a very particular group of people that in reaction to stuff like BvS want Batman and Superman basically to be bffs at all times that always say nice things about one another with no conflict and that just seems boring and especially out of character for Batman.

And as for the Trinity it's like... come on. I'm not the biggest fan of Wonderbat but this angle doesn't exactly work either lol. There /surely/ has to be a better way.

Not much any of us can do about it, but people have been saying they're finished since the acquisition.

It is too late for the Marvel’s but I could see Momoa promoting Aquaman big time. Will he get the last Saturday night hosting slot before the Holiday break?

That is horrendous. I never want to see that onscreen (or anywhere else, for that matter).

No doubt Momoa is going to promote the hell out of this. Regardless of whatever Aquaman 2 ends up making, Momoa has a big presence and just like with Fast X, he'll be there to market and promote the movie for sure. The saving grace is that Warners has until December for Aquaman 2 and Willy Wonka, while something like The Marvels can't do much at the moment to further sell the movie since it's out today.

Great points. I know this is a DC Films thread but I think the media is overreacting to the Marvels. It seems to be a cute girl power movie. Just like Blue Beetle, the movie is not going to target everyone. Aquaman 2 seems like it will target everyone but the critics.

I dont know...we got signed bottles from the literal first batch so I need to go buy another and try it out. I have heard that it is quite good though and is meant to be drank with just ice.

I don’t like hostility that is too deep-seated or that lasts too long, even if originating from misunderstandings. These are supposed to be highly intelligent and hugely heroic characters. A natural short term personality clash is fine.

Momoa is going to be on the Tonight Show this week. Already promoting the last DCEU movie. I wonder if he will say anything about Lobo…….

I highly doubt it. Lobo isn't anything to promote on a late night show when 1) no one really knows who that is and 2) he has an actual movie to promote

The Marvels bombing is just not good for Comic book movies, not just the MCU. I can’t imagine we will ever get a real Birds of Prey movie with Babs. I think it could even affect a Wonder Woman solo.

Unlike you, I think WB actually recognizes the value in solo Wonder Woman.
