“Where’s my Wonder Woman movie??” Oh I don’t know, maybe we should be wondering if women will even be allowed to own land in a few months time. How about that?

Wasn't the reason we were told the former universe didn't work was because it was rushed and the studio forced projects that weren't ready yet? Seems like you are advocating for that...

People wanted to build to the JL, guess what...we're already in an aged universe here. Batman got a son who's Robin. Superman been Suping for a hot minute. We got plenty of active heroes, we have jumbled continuity from past Gunn films. We aren't starting fresh here.

So i still haven't seen anything convincing as to why Wonder Woman is no where in any format outside of comics

She aint all over this universe. Using a shadowy image of WW DEAD is not what one wants to use an example. Nor is one of her primary villains getting a beat down by a Weasel an example of her villain being used as a good point If it aint titled Wonder Woman and/or w/Diana as the LEAD - it don't matter/doesnt fully count. People would be HOLLERING if we didnt have any Superman or Batman around in any media but everyone else showing up so my reality is very clear.

If Gunn can already get that Blue Beetle animated series announced as coming - he can definitely let us know that WW animated series is already in active development. He has not. 82 years and it'll likely be 83 cause I doubt we'll get an animated series in 2025. Ridiculous.

Who wants a JL? Are you actually paying attention to what Gunn is saying?

The films aren't ready for whatever reason. When they are they will be announced.

You brought up the former and how it went wrong. I just stated facts.

A lot of projects were announced for "Chapter 1", WW film was not one of them. There are no other WW projects that have been rumored, announced, none of that.

I want WW fans to eat like Bat and Superman fans eat.

I will say, i do like that Gunn is going the offbeat route. I like that we’re getting a R rated thrillers like Swamp Thing and and hopefully Keanu’s Constantine 2. Horror movies that just HAPPEN to feature DC characters much like The Batman was a film noir that just happened to have a Batman-like protagonist. I love that we’re getting a kind of crime-thriller esque LANTERNS series which i am HYPED for. I think DC always shines when it does offbrand stuff like that.

However, I’m not sure how i feel about shelving Wonder Woman. Maybe i’ll be proven wrong but it doesnt seem like we’re going to see this character back on the big screen before 2030 and to not take advantage of the character’s huge rise in pop culture is a mistake in my opinion.

“But Wonder Woman 1984 ruined the brand.” No it didnt. It was a misstep. People still want more Wonder Woman whether its Gal or someone else. Unless you count BvS and JL, we’ve not yet seen a modern day Wonder Woman movie of her doing Wonder Woman things and i think people want that badly and are ready for it.

Wonder Woman is coming but it will take time. I bet she will be on the big screen by 2027 exactly 10 years before the Patty Jenkins project. Gods and Monsters is the name of the first phase. Wonder Woman is a God. Be patient let Superman and Supergirl lead the way.

I don’t know if the marketing campaign for SUPERMAN is very good simply because Gunn is directing or whether he’s exerting control since he’s running DC Studios. The first poster is STUNNING.

I hope they continue this approach with the other films if he wants a different marketing strategy compared to Marvel Studios and post 2012 DC releases. I’m drooling over the potential artwork for “Lanterns”, Supergirl and Swamp Thing.

I wonder why the Reeves Batman 2 production seems to be on hold until late summer. I wonder what script changes Reeves made. Does it have something to do with the DCU or maybe even the success of the Penguin. Colin said the Penguin would have limited scenes in Batman 2 so he must have seen the script. Something is cooking at DC studios.

It might be crew availability as well as script changes. Reeves’ main editor William Hoy is working on Superman until probably May or June.

Supergirl might get moved up to that date in 2026. March 2027 would a good date to move Reeves Batman.

She cant come soon enough and Gunn has already drawn side eye from what we've gotten of Circe, one of WWs biggest villains, in CC.

They can get that WW animated series off the ground in the meantime.

I think something is going on with Reeves and the DCU. I believe we will get a DCU Batman announcement of some kind very soon. With the momentum of Supes I can’t see the push back of The Batman 2 for another year happening unless Gunn/Reeves have come up with something. I guess we will hear a million rumors between now and production this spring.

I am going to say it. The DCU Batman will be introduced in Clayface. The DCU has to use this momentum and I don’t think you can get away with Clayface without Batman.

I think you are reading way too much into this. If the film got pushed back it's cause Reeves wasn't ready to make it. The DCU main universe has zero to with it.
