Cage as BVS Lex is inspired


You are too kind Sir. Many thanks ( I was thinking particularly of Cage' s performance in Face Off).

Weirdly enough I always felt that Tom Cruise would have been great as Hal Jordan if he was cast in the role like 20 years ago.

Not so weird at all, about 33 or so years ago he was cast as a character who pretty much IS Hal Jordan.... in Top Gun.

. . . huh. I don't think your wrong. It wouldn't have made the movie good ( nothing could ), but it definitely would have made the movie much more entertaining.

Yeah, okay it wouldn't have made B v S a good movie, but the Lex bits would have been fun rather than irritating.

Still early days yet but Variety is speculating HBO Max wants original big budget movies from Warners for their streaming and some of those could be DC movies:

"HBO Max is expected to lean heavily on Warner Bros. to supply it with exclusive content. The subscription service hopes the studio will provide it with eight to 10 movies, a number that could ramp up over time. Certain films could be produced or overseen by the likes of Abrams and Greg Berlanti, two prominent creative forces with overall deals on the lot. Some of these productions could be tentpole-sized, with healthy budgets that could rival those of major feature films. Eventually productions will likely hail from the DC Universe, WarnerMedia’s in-house comic book division, as it looks for compelling content. The studio was successful in convincing Melissa McCarthy to release her upcoming comedy “Superintelligence” on the service, and other feature projects could follow suit."

I wonder if Warner Brothers has their own streaming service because Disney has Disney Plus now? I mean if Warner Bros had their own service like Warner Bros Plus or something like that...then it would do wonders for the DCEU going forward if you think about it

WarnerMedia has started HBO Max steaming service.

 
But that's not even remotely the same thing as Disney Plus because on Disney Plus they are putting out TV shows that directly tie into the MCU...now is Warner Brothers gonna do that with HBO Max and have DCEU TV shows that directly correlate with the DCEU timeline?
 
I called it a while ago, but you just wait.. we’re going to get a live action Justice League tv show. That or a direct to streaming film.

It has already been announced for over a year now... And they will have a 30 million subscriber headstart at launch because all of the existing HBO subscribers will automatically be upgraded at no extra cost. HBO IS WARNER BROTHERS. Also, their entire company(AT&T/Warner media) considers DC their most valuable brand as they have mentioned multiple times in their HBO MAX event yesterday. People forget the massive infrastructure that Warner media already has which is giving them a headstart in the "Stream Wars"(as everyone likes to call it) and they reminded us of that at the HBO event. Not to mention how much AT&T adds to the already existing infrastructure. These new services that are launching like(Disney plus) will already be way behind and are going to have to make up a lot of ground even if they are launching 6 months ahead of Warner Brothers service. They're not going to gain 30 million subscribers in that short amount of time. ...Not that they need to or anything.

So they are gonna force customers into HBO Max ? Thats not gonna end well especially when in the end the customers WILL gotta pay for it. HBO Max will die sooner or later if they try forcing their hands here & customers bills get larger for something they may not want. AT&T is gonna be in for a rude awakening. They are already losing lots of subscribers as is & its not gonna get better. I know Id rather ditch AT&T ENTIRELY if they think they are gonna force me to pay more for HBO Max

I don't expect them to put shows that will directly connect to DCEU. Let's admit, if DCEU was in same strong position as MCU currently is, maybe they would have done that.

Currently, all DC shows (on HBO Max) are unconnected to each other and unconnected to DCEU or any other DC films.There are no DCEU-TV shows on HBO Max.

They are literally doing the same thing! And have actual shows announced and the DCU streaming service is also rumored to be absorbed into HBO Max as well even on top of the Original DC movies and TV show content HBO Max is creating. I assure you they got it covered. I watched the whole event but its 2 hours long so I am sure you don't want to watch that. So here is Grace Randolph giving a nice and digestible explanation of what happened at the HBO Max event and what it means for new and future streaming DC content.

After reading the articles on this, I think they are keeping open the option of regular HBO service, in case they decide to increase charges for HBO Max in future. I think after few months Disney+ will also increase the charges, right now, they have kept their subscription charges too low, which they will find difficult to sustain in the long run.

A lot of these services are gonna have a hard time when these companies start trying to force customers into paying for stuff they dont want. I currently have AT&T but Im ready to ditch it at a moments notice if they think they can try this **** on me & I know Im not alone. Im not paying for thousands of subscription services

Who are you trying to fool ? THIS WONT LAST NEVER DOES. When they see that not enough people are using the streaming service as is they will start charging for it & figure any money is better than no money at all

You should read what I wrote because I think you're confused and I am too lazy to try to unconfuse you right now.

I simply dont get excited for stuff anymore just because its getting made. I wait & see how they do it & what not. If I feel the content is good & faithful to the source material I'll show interest much later. But I dont pre hype anymore based on announcements

I read it AT THE START it will be no extra cost BUT THIS WONT BE SUSTAINABLE long term it just wont
