If DCEU TV shows end up being announced much like how Marvel Universe TV shows were announced, perfect place to do it would be at San Diego Comic Con 2020 and which heroes should have DCEU TV shows that directly tie into the DCEU? I would have heroes like Cyborg, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Hawkman & Hawkgirl and Blue Beetle & Booster Gold having their own TV shows and it would all tie into the shared universe of the DCEU

What I think we'll get on HBO Max in terms of original DC movies in the future are lesser-known characters. We will still get theatrical releases for the big event movies. But HBO Max can maybe give more quirky, or darker, or even riskier type of movies and characters. Say, like The Question, or Justice League Dark or Animal Man, Captain Atom etc. etc.

In terms of how they connect to the DCEU, they could cross-over characters. Or they could just be their own thing.

I'm still waiting on WB to do Plastic Man. It just seems like a slam dunk creative wise. And he could be their answer to Deadpool.

i have only read lemire's run but not morrison's, but i know of it since it's quite famous and that lemire took alot of influence from it. (i guess i'm a fake fan )

how do both compare?

that new 52 animal man run probably put him in my top 5 fave dc characters tho.
so i hope someday we see him in live action or some form on tv/movies.

I’m probably a “fake fan” too as those are the only two runs I’ve read, but yeah, loved ‘em both. I will say if I had to pick one, I’d actually prefer Lemire’s, because I found the stuff with the daughter and “The Red” really compelling, and I loved the connection to Swamp Thing, but I can also tell Lemire kinda took Morrison’s lead on his approach, focusing on the regular dude, family man aspects like he did. Morrison has some good slow-burn plotting in there, too. He pushed the environmentalist/vegetarian angle a little hard sometimes, but it was a great read if you’re remotely into the character, imo.

ah i should check out morrison's then.

the stuff with the family in lemire's story was really good. and what happened to his son was really sad.
they did not provide any easy solutions for it.
it's definitely the whole "with great power, comes great responsibility" thing.
also how he ends up teaming up with swamp thing was great too.

They might change their mind. Studio brass might see the series and think it has a shot on a network channel like TNT. I don't think HBO proper would be a good fit because it's decidedly not prestige.

I feel like black Adam has been in development forever and it’s refreshing to see some real headway being made. If done right rock just found himself a multi picture franchise. I still scratch my head why WB is taking forever to get more movies off the ground. I don’t need connected movie but I desperately want to see more characters on the screen. There movies can clearly make a billion dollars if done right, freaking gold mind there sitting on
