Swamp Thing is kind of odd for a "Chapter One" phase of a new universe. I wonder where that character would fit.

Never forget Gunn's origins. Pushing for a character that would fit in a Troma style, yeah, I believe.

There’s also some rumblings on Twitter that the DCU Batman will be similar to the Adam West version. Looks like it’ll be both Batman and Robin with a 1966 flavor.

My bet for tomorrow would be that a Batman movie will be announced. Ben Affleck is done just like Cavill, so there is no impediment in announcing a new Batman movie.

Joker and Reeves' Batman will be officially named as Elseworlds, as others have already stated (duhh). No surprises here lol

Superman release date.

But the one thing I really want is for there to be official confirmation that Snyderverse is completely dead finally. But there are still 3 big movies that are about to be released this year so I'm not going to be delulu.

Supposedly. When Gunn and Safran took over it was announced that it was essentially being sent back to the drawing board to be retooled as a John Stewart vehicle (instead of focusing on multiple lanterns in different eras as it originally was).

I don't need different eras but I do need multiple Lanterns, at least eventually.

I don't really understand how The Batman qualifies as an "elseworlds". Not like Joker does (that movie created a radically new version of the character to make him more sympathetic, so it fits that label a lot more than a movie that is largely faithful to the comics, aside from the SE7EN filter being applied to it aesthetically).

I think people are using that term a little differently now to indicate any projects that take place outside of overall universe continuity.

Don’t know if anyone has posted this but Dave Bautista says it’s a complete reboot. He said Gunn is casting younger and fresher actors in all of the roles.

They arent going to do 50 year old Bane and Bruce anyway.

I think Green Lantern really should be the DC equivalent to Star Wars. It should be on the big screen with top notch visual and special effects.
