DC Films The DC Studios News and Discussion Thread

Yeah, that rebuttal is exactly what I imagined he'd say if he were to respond to it. He's not wrong, but he knew throwing "mess" out there would get some circulation, so he ain't slick.
He is the same as the rest.
Stealing "exclusives", backtracking when he cant control the narrative anymore, lying and so on.
Sadly we still give these kind of people too much...but it is what it is.
People decided to give scoopers time and money, and i dont see this trend stop.

idk. I heard the original podcast and he just said it while going on a whole rant about how every studio is a mess.

His point was completely misconstrued as well. He was speaking of it in terms that every single studio out there is a mess, making movies is complicated and nothing ever goes even remotely as clean as public statements make it out to be.
Yeah, his points always seem to be misconstrued by people according to him too. The other time with the SAG deal he was completely wrong and was backtracking by trying to explain what the definition of the word "imminent" was and how others didn't understand it and now he's trying to explain to people what a "mess in a big film studio actually means".

He seems to be deliberately making clickbaity headlines/posts to draw attention and then accuse people for taking them too literally.

Well, as a fan on the outside, I don't know what the state of the studio is behind the scenes.

At this point, I'm not gonna get worked up about his statement on either side, regardless.

At this point , I'm just waiting to see how SL comes together , and what Gunn has in store for us with that film.

It’s a mess because it has no new clear plan in place. Taking this character from the dceu, that whole universe and any actor associated with it should’ve been destroyed.

How does keeping actors negate a clear plan? The 2 main faces staying have their own shows. That all seems pretty clear and planned.

I don’t follow these movies, but still love DC. Keeping any actor from dceu, which failed miserably confuses me, the audience who might still think it’s the same old stuff.

Eh. I get the sentiment but idk if it’s that big of a deal. There will be more new faces in Legacy alone than those returning to their role.

Audiences will get it if you tell them what’s going on. I don’t think anyone is gonna pass on Legacy solely bc John Cena kept a job.

The Orville actress ,Adrianne Palecki.
She also played Wonder Woman in the unaired NBC pilot.

Lord have mercy. What season was that?
I wanna say S3. Back when fans try to argue the show was still good. :hehe:

It was quite awkward too because they didn’t actually try to sell this Kara as his cousin and they decided to add all this sexual tension between them before she’s revealed to be an imposter. And then of course actual cousin Kara shows up 4 seasons later and they never bring this one up again lol.

3 was really good for a CW Superhero show. Especially the Lex/Lionel and Reeve of it all.

4 was fine... now 5 and later, woof.

Makes it even better that House of the Dragon played a part in her getting it. Must be fun being a director of geek stuff where you can legit try to cast people you see do well in other geek stuff.

Smallville was never good beyond the pilot imo, but at least the last couple seasons were mildly enjoyable at parts due to them ditching the albatross that was Lana Lang. I also couldn't stand Rosenbaum's Lex and his head-bobbing, monotone deliveries, so I realize my thoughts don't align with most Smallville fans lol. Lionel was the only consistently good thing about the early seasons to me. I would honestly rather rewatch S1 of The Flash, S4 of Supergirl, the first 2 seasons of Black Lightning, or any season of Superman & Lois over any season of Smallville. Especially those "we don't wanna be a superhero show" early seasons that threatened to make me hate Clark Kent as the most wan, wishy-washy hero ever.
